I had the most amazing experience (sat outside on their very trendy patio), and had one of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had in LA! Barbara also came to to speak to me and asked how the food was - She is one of the nicest human beings/owners I have spoken with as well! She's been here for 30+ years, and I am excited to see them franchise out! Hopefully closer to where I live!!!! :)

Delicious tacos for a great price. Doesn’t take look to whip up. Great service from the staff. And thefree cucumber water was a nice touch.

The best taco place in LA, and the original! Always friendly staff and every time I go there I am so thrilled that they have so many options. A landmark with a dream of a menu. My favorites are the shrimp and mushroom tacos as I am a pescatarian. The taco sauces are to DIE for! I bought bottles of extra sauce so I can add them to my tacos at home. The huge outdoor dining area is dog friendly—always appreciated. My go to for Taco Tuesday!

I came here for the soup, didnt read the reviews to know it was a taco spot.. but i really wanted a soup so we tried out the restaurant. I like the decor, but once you go in, i was confused.. didnt know it was a diner. So i asked the gentleman if they had soup, they did. I saw a pic online of a burrito so i got me a burrito from the picture. My fiancé got nachos. We got 2 lemonades and a crush. The mushroom soup was decent. [Would have been better with a bread on the side] size was.. decent. 1 inch deep in the bowl. Salty to my taste but ok. The crawfish burrito. ? its what it says. Crawfish.. burrito. Atleast fill it up with a bit more rice and beans. It was more tortilla than anything!!! The taste was ok. Tastes like butter with a bunch of seasonings.. tortilla had seasonings too. That was different! But.. not worth trying it again. Lemonade was too sweet for me :/ my fiancé's face when he saw the nachos ? only then i realized what happened. WE SPENT 80 DOLLARS.. 80 DOLLARS!!!!!!!! Soup:$15 crawfish burrito: $25 nachos:close to 20 lemonades in small mason jars:$6 each. Crush soda:$2 plus taxes ?? lesson learned : look at the pics .. look at reviews. Go on IG and if all you see is the company posting their food =red flag baby! I know this might sound harsh, and sorry for those that love skys. I hope you keep going to keep the business going, and a female owners dream alive. I know prices, competition etc. But daang. 25 for a burrito? 25?!?!? 20 for nachos? That are half plate? ? lorrd have mercy. I have NEVER been so dissapointed in myself. I am so traumatized that now i look at prices and peoples plates around me ?? i wasnt sure to post or not but a week later and im still dissapointed! If you are looking for a breakfast burrito and dont mind the drive, try Antojitos in Burbank. The has brown is crispy. For regular Burritos: taco truck on Vernon and Figueroa where the ross is at. Trust me.. 10 bucks and theyre worth the drive. Soups: might come back to try something different [maybe its less salty] or i might just stick to Marie Calendars, Panera or Neptunes for their chowder. Redondo Beach pier has good chowder too. Cool thing i saw here, "All Gender" Bathroom ? thought that was different ?????

Barbara Burrell serves the BEST tacos in all of Los Angeles. In the late 90s, a former friend introduced me to the delicious offerings at Sky's Tacos. I'd always opt for Barbara's delectable lobster, shrimp, and chicken tacos accompanied by pineapple cheesecake and lemonade. I craved Sky's Tacos for years but couldn't enjoy them due to living in New York. But I make sure to purchase them when in town. When I ordered from Sky's through Uber Eats a few years back, I was infuriated and disheartened to discover that the driver had stolen my meal. Yet, the team at Sky's promptly rectified the situation by replacing my order. I wish Barbara had a location in New York, especially the Bronx.

I love this place for tacos. Some of the best in LA. Pretty basic setup but the food is great and it’s got a good vibe when it’s busy. We always sit out on the undercover area and the service is always quick and friendly.

Service and atmosphere are great. The vegetarian burrito was awful. The soy meat literally tasted like burnt rubber. I would highly suggest altering the recipe. I wanted to love it but couldn’t finish eating it.

Whatever happened to this one’s very attractive place. Went for breakfast tacos but they are overly priced, but jesus does the place need to make itself up if they are going to do catering or welcome patrons. Boxes everywhere nowhere to sit like you use at the counter. I believe the prices are defined corporate prices, because corporate businesses can write them prices off, so it is what it is. It was a good run, but definitely more affordable breakfast tacos elsewhere. If you have not tried these tacos ? i would give them a try though as they are good, but lack of proper management and price gauge for sure.

I don’t review places that I don’t like, at least I try not to. Everyone’s trying to make a living and everyone has a bad day. But this place? This place makes a salmon burrito. It is absolutely extraordinary. I’ve tried quite a few things from skies, and I found them all to be very delicious. Their homemade tortilla chips are world class, and this unassuming little place on Pico delivers at extraordinarily high, gourmet level. Great prices, friendly staff, and most importantly, absolutely deliciously healthy food. Although, I haven’t tried it, I almost had a heart attack when I saw their homemade cheesecake in the refrigerator. Mind-boggling.
