These amazing ladies helped me out with a last minute Thanksgiving dessert need, and I ended up with the MOST delicious pumpkin pie ever. Even near the end of what was clearly a crazy day they were so delightful, kind and happy to help. Cant wait to go back and try more! Thank you!
Y'all, get your Thanksgiving pies here! Go early because they are selling out. Pecan pie was the first to sell out. But this Sweet Potato Pie is DIVINE!!!!!
We just finished the pecan pie & sweet potato pie. We have been to South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia & your pie was the best we ever had. Who knew it was right here at home in California.!? π€― π₯§ wow it was great!
This place has the best Southern desserts in California, hands down! Everything is delicious and made with care. The management and staff are always professional, courteous, and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Southern sweets!
I got Chocolate Chip nibbles and a slice of pecan pie. My friend got a slice of German chocolate cake. All were really good. I'm a home baker and can rarely buy baked goods that I like. These came close to my own. I'd highly recommend this place.
Yummy π
Southern Girl Desserts is one of my favs bakeries in LA. I will say they could benefit from some organization to make them more polished. I wish they had labels for all the desserts so every person in the line doesnβt have to keep asking, especially if they are short staffed.
Stopped by to check out this spot while in town. The caramel cake slice came highly recommended by staff. Wow I was pleasantly surprised by this as I haven't had this type of cake since childhood. The cake part was just okay however, the icing takes this to another level. The center icing layer to be specific. There is a mixture of all types of sugary goodness in this. I'm a sugarholic but even I had to break this up over a few days. I highly recommend trying this on a Saturday as that's the only day its available. I also highly enjoyed the mini chocolate chip pecan cookies. The chocolate buttercream cupcake was a bit dry and just didn't do it for me. I will definitely return to try other treats. The customer service was excellent!

Today was the first time I visited this shop! It was delicious. That was by far the best chocolate cake I've had in LA. Not to mention, the piece of cake was HUGE!
Great job, I will be back again to try your red velvet cake, lemon cake and your banana pudding!!!
Southern Girl Bakery is one of my favorite places to get dessert. The cookies are delicious and the cakes are amazing and the slices are huge. I give them a 10 out of 10. If you try them once, you will be hooked.
I also have to mention that the Owners and Staff are very welcoming and give excellent customer service.
The banana pudding and the sweet potato cupcake is what I love most. I will surely be back and have another flavor. They're really tasty at a reasonable price.
Staff was friendly Poundcake was OK the crust was pretty good, cake lacked flavor I wouldn't order it again
If you want sweets with real ingredients this the place. Never disappointed with any of their deserts. Service is great also
