Just landed in LA from Seattle and found this place as we were searching for a spot to grab food. The atmosphere is great. They use tablets with great photos of all the food. On the tablets you’re able to order all your food and send it directly to the kitchen to be prepared. The food came out quickly and HOT! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Be ready for great service and even better food!

✨ Hidden Gem for Thai Breakfast & Classics! ✨
I stumbled upon Spelling Thai Bistro and was blown away by their unique mix of Thai-American breakfast and authentic Thai dishes — it’s a vibe!
We started with their Avocado Toast Bun and the Spelling Breakfast, which came with two eggs, a fresh side salad, and a waffle. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted even better. The avocado toast had a nice crunch and the waffle was the perfect balance of soft and crispy.
For our main dishes, I had the Khao Soi with Roasted Duck — rich, creamy curry broth with perfectly tender duck and egg noodles. Absolute comfort in a bowl. We also got the Pad Thai with Crispy Pork, which was flavorful and had the perfect amount of crunch from the pork.
The staff was super friendly and the vibe was cozy but modern. Definitely coming back to try more!

Had the khao soi with duck and it was exactly what I needed. Love being able to get a curry dish with noodles! Everyone was kind, ambiance is nice. Plenty of street parking when I went for lunch. I live in Thai town near many Thai restaurants but I would travel to have this dish again. Thai tea was also good and not insanely sweet! My mom got a fried fish entree, and I loved the sauce! So flavorful. Would definitely recommend ordering it with a side of rice.

Food was so good! Cashew chicken. Met the owner he mentioned the rice is cooked with only filtered water, food tasted very clean as well not heavy or sluggish after. Definitely recommend and will be back. Super friendly staff.

We had a great experience at Spelling Thai Bistro. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and reminded me of home. We ordered Chicken Satay, Crispy Pork, Egg Rolls, Red Curry, Larb Chicken Salad, Papaya Salad, and the Roasted Duck—which is a must-try!
Every dish was tasty and clearly made with quality ingredients.

Bold Thai flavors with a creative twist. every dish was a hit!. Roasted duck was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, perfectly paired with jasmine rice. The khao soi? Creamy, spicy, and deeply comforting — just like in Chiang Mai!

If you would like to try the authentic Thai food in a way of East meets West. I highly recommend this restaurant. You can’t get only the good food but also the homey atmosphere. I really appreciated the hospitality extended to me from the very adorable Thai family of the owner. I’m originally Thai so they reminded me of where i came from.
