Great vibes. Met up with a friend here for the first time and really enjoyed the vibes. Service was good and the flat white was good too.

Best breakfast ever. First time here and everything blew us away. Shaq, disco bowl, salmon latke, French toast. All of it-10/10. Can’t wait for them to open for dinner service in December!

Most unusual brunch with chef driven latkes deep fried to look like rye bread. Pickled lox was purple along with crème fresh and capers. Very filling. . . Only thing was the outside chairs were metal and needed cushions. Find used hotel chairs. Otherwise it was great. Bravo
A great brunch - amazing mile-high quiche and superb omelette are recommended. Light, fluffy buckwheat pancake was a revelation. Don’t recommend the hash browns though, as they were too oily and lacking in flavor.
Nice spot to sit - but we were there after the lunch rush and the food took ages, coming out cold, poor quality ingredients. Sadly the service didn’t match up either. Think there are much better places in the area, wouldn’t recommend.
The food was so delicious really enjoyed everything

everyone talks about the toasts here and I’m no different.
— two years of my undergraduate studies spent in LA would’ve not been the same if I didn’t find sqirl. food is great, community is a plus + and the design? Any graphic designer’s or creative dream (have you seen their bowls and collaborations??)
I’ve been inspired by so much going to Sqirl and I second to every review here that talks about 1) the salmon sorrel bowl being an amazing introduction to sqirl’s cuisine 2) the brioche french toast that literally tastes like warm, comfortable bread pudding but with my textures. This is the restaurant I think about often. It is a place I think about often- the design, the people and the vibes.
Key term to think about here is “New Californian” cooking — I was only made aware of this when I met sqirl. It’s interesting to see the different inspirations meld together to create such a wonderful combination just in a bowl. I can’t say it tastes “Western” or it tastes “Asian”, simply it’s just great food.

The ricotta toast and breakfast bowls never disappoint.
Sqirl is the perfect blend of comfort food and a sophisticated meal.
The quality of the ingredients and the expertise of their combinations is a clear evidence of how much thought and care the chefs had put in their creations.
It's somewhere I always recommend, and for that, be thanked for sharing the existence of such beautiful, tasty gem!
The bowls were delicious
i enjoyed the pesto rice bowl - balanced and just tasty enough, healthy and yum. chicken porridge was good too, interesting tomato based broth. ricotta toast was ok.. bread was slightly dry. hashbrown’s texture was rather strange, like a sticky tapioca like texture, as opposed to normal hash brown potatoes with some bite.
