Squirrelor's Tavern offers a magical experience, perfect for any occasion. This fantasy tavern provides a unique and enjoyable atmosphere, complete with themed drinks, immersive decor, and engaging music. Guests can interact with playful and charming hosts, enjoy puzzles, riddles, and a full-length quest with a prize. The tavern also features a self-serve taproom and kitchen, allowing visitors to serve themselves drinks from the taps. The food is good, with a mix of elevated bar fare, potato soup, meat pies, and bread pudding that are all delicious. The drink selection includes plenty of beer, wine, mead, and themed cocktails, with a special edition Duvel created just for the tavern. The experience feels like immersive theatre combined with dinner and puzzles, not an escape room, and it encourages exploration at your own pace to follow storylines and solve mysteries. The characters, including Squirrelor, Nettles the barmaid, and Vash, add humor and charm, making the night even more memorable. Guests are encouraged to dress up and dive into the Renaissance-era mysteries and shenanigans, or simply enjoy the playful banter and attentive service. The event is currently held on Fridays and Saturdays in October, with limited dates, but plans to expand. Parking is easy, with street parking or a lot nearby. Overall, visitors often leave buzzing and eager to return, eager to live out their nerdy, fantastical fantasies in this immersive medieval world.
