Stir Crazy is one of those rare places that immediately makes you slow down. The space itself is warm, intimate, and deeply personal — the kind of restaurant where the noise settles into a comfortable hum and you find yourself lingering longer than you planned. Sitting on Melrose, you expect the usual LA energy, but the moment you walk inside it feels as though you've been transported somewhere small and European. Cozy without being precious, relaxed without losing intention....
Pricey, but some solid dishes like leek toast, onion dip, rockfish carpaccio. Poached chicken was egregiously expensive and not that great. Yummy desserts. Chill nice staff. Tables on sidewalk are a little too close to the action of the street. They should probably limit it to the confines of the immediate outside area.
Restricted residential parking after 6pm, but can find some free meter street parking or go off Melrose two blocks down.

Stir Crazy is so so special. The cozy space is intimate and inviting. Mackenzie and the entire team are warm and attentive. So much love and energy goes into every dish that Chef Caroline Leff puts out. Stir Crazy is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Los Angeles and I will keep going back time and time again <3
