Fantastic food! Loved the fries and their lemongrass chicken was amazing. Got it over noodles, which were very flavorful. The server was very friendly, and the price was affordable - got the noodles, fries, and a drink for $15. Would definitely try this truck again when it visits our office.

Really good! We got pulled beef sandwiches, and it was bomb. Get them when they're around. We got it when they were in Granada Hills area.

Im Indonesian, and the Food was HORRIBLE. The owners are ignorant and made a RACIST gesture and never apologized. The business partner (Tom, caucasian guy with a beard) did not ask our ethnicity and he assumes that my gf is japanese and said "ARIGATO GOZAIMASU" and bow to us when we are not even japanese. That is racist and should not be tolerated! I even DM the owner, Justin, and he sees nothing wrong with Tom's action and even compared it to saying thank you to american? How can someone be so ignorant nowadays. He blocked me and did not apologize at all.In addition, the food is so bad, my beef curry isswimming in oil and the chicken sandwich isdry as a cardboard. Save your money and dont support this racist business.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RACIST BUSINESS!! My partner messaged the owner, Justin, about the racist encounter we had with his business partner, Tom (last attached picture). However, James thought it was unnecessary to apologize for racist behavior and did not see an issue at all. The complaint was about Tom's racist actions towards me. Saying "thank you" to me in Japanese, while also bowing IS RACIST. I am not Japanese and it is not okay to assume someone's race. I included the screen shots so you can see what happened and the interaction yourself. My partner was blocked after. I tried messaging them as well, and was blocked without even getting a reply. The owner is Indonesian and it blows my mind how he thinks this is okay and there is nothing to apologize for. It is privileged of him to say that Tom's actions were not racist, especially after expressing that I felt racism towards me during that small interaction.

Im Indonesian and the Food was horrible. To make it worse, the business partner (caucasian guy with a beard) assumes my gf is japanese and said "ARIGATO GOZAIMASU" and bow to us when we are not even japanese. That is super racist and should not be tolerated! The food is so bad, my beef rendang is swimming in oil and the chicken sandwich is dry as a cardboard. Save your money and dont support this racist person.

There was a StopBye Cafe Truck at the LA Auto Show and the food looked really good snd decided to try it. We ordered a combo which ones with a soda and also ordered a Thai Iced Tea. When we received our order, they gave us the combo and the Thai Iced Tea. We asked kindly for our soda and the lady at the pick up window started to argue saying your combo comes with a drink, the Thai Iced tea is your drink! I argued no because I ordered that separately. She kept going back and forth with me. She tried telling me that I was incorrect just because she didn't want to acknowledge they made a mistake. She was forcing me to pay $5 for a can of soda that was included with the combo! Since she didn't want to give me the soda she told us I'll give you your money back but give me the food back. That's exactly what we did. We had paid $50. She preferred to lose $50 than give us a can of soda! Never again !

They were the food truck of the day at my company and decided to give it a try since I don't eat much Indonesian fusion. I ordered the Borneo Pulled Beef Sandwich with deluxe fries as an add-on. The sandwich was ok, but for $15 I was expecting much more flavor. I also realized after the fact that I was only given regular fries instead of my deluxe fries and returned to have it corrected. They provided a full order of deluxe fries which I highly appreciated. The deluxe fries weren't worth the $1 upcharge--really just regular fries with some unknown parmesan-esque seasoning and fresh parsley, neither of which adhered to the fries. However, I did appreciate the good service and courtesy.TL;DR: Food is ok at best, but not exactly a bang for your buck; order was initially messed up, but service and willingness to correct are great.

I ordered fried chicken sandwich w/fries from their food truck ($20). The chicken was super dry and barely any spicy aioli on the sandwich. The coleslaw on the sandwich was good. But over all the chicken itself had no taste. McDonald's chicken sandwich way better compared to what I ate.

the garlic noodles with tofu was a letdown. the entire dish was very oily and the noodle were over cooked and extremely salty. i unfortunately could not finish the meal and was disappointed overall. the service was alright but nothing special. maybe it was an off day for them?

Company does monthly food trucks. I don't know if it's "authentic" but the flavor is incredible. Very nice selection available. Large filling portions. The people working were amazing. Friendly and efficient. The truck itself is pretty cool, cool designs and paint. Ordered The Kemangi Shrimp Garlic Noodles which I thought incredible. So much flavor, very very good, nice spice. Brussel Sprouts were great. I was also able to sample the fried chicken sandwich, thought that to be awesome as well. Didn't intend or consider a review so I didn't take pics other than one. Since so many expressed their belief that this was the best yet, I had to review and I agree. Definitely would eat again.

We hired StopBye for a private party. The team arrived early and provided quick and extremely friendly service. I really enjoyed the vegan kemangi with tofu and the jalajo Brussels sprouts--and man, the portions were huge! It was delicious and served with so many veggies that kept it tasting fresh. I heard multiple guests gushing about how good the food was, some saying it was the best food they'd ever had at a party!

Had their Lemongrass fired chicken with garlic noodles and the food was not terrible nor will it blow your mind. The cost was 14 bucks plus tax, but it was an average sized bowl. First time trying Indonesian food but, I wish I could give them a 3.5 starts. I would only go if you are in the mood to try something different. Definitely have had worse. (Food truck btw)

I'm all for supporting small, Asian owned businesses, but unfortunately, this food truck wouldn't be a place I would STOP BYE again. The owners and employees are so nice and sweet, but the quality of their meals definitely fall a bit short for me, especially in terms of authenticity and taste. I ordered the lemongrass chicken bowl with garlic noodles, and I could barely taste the lemongrass flavor nor the garlic. This dish was saved by their complimentary hot sauce, but I still found it a bit lacking, especially with the lack of diversity in ingredients, overly strong vinegar taste, and poorly seasoned/super oily chicken and noodles.

I don't know if I just got unlucky, but I don't know how anyone can say this is good. I got it as a food truck at the LA Auto show and had the chicken sandwich, beef plate, beef sandwich, and garlic noodle bowl. Everything was just amazingly bland and lacked any kind of distinctive flavor that made it Indonesian other than the noodles. Heck it even lacked salt and sugar. The beef literally was unseasoned and tasted like me just cooking some beef at home with an instant pot with just a bit of soy sauce. The chicken sandwich was no better than chick fil a but it cost $16. The fries were terribly dry like day old McDonald's fries. And the Coco coffee honestly just sucked and tasted like coffee with spoiled sour milk in it. Worst of all it took 20 minutes to order and another 25 minutes to get my food. It was "wish I could have gotten a refund" bad.

This might be my favorite food truck in Los Angeles. If you're into Indonesian, Asian fusion, or just great food, this is the place. Everything's amazing but if it's your first time, I'd recommend the ren-dang stew if it's currently on the menu. Other great options include the Borneo pulled beef sandwich and pork poppers. Had the lemongrass chicken bowl with garlic noodles for the first time this visit and was delicious like everything else here.
