This place has the worst customer service. I went in to buy food, and the person behind the counter never acknowledged the fact that he was standing there. After about a five minute wait, I walked out and didn't order anything. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My advice is to go somewhere else.

The male shift lead at night has the personality of a rock. ZERO eye contact, the social and customer service skills of 90s high school emo girl. I also am in the food service industry so I am very much a please and thank you kind of customer when I go to fast food places because they don't really get that a lot. That being said, he makes you feel like it falls on deaf ears. No effort goes into the food, he made me feel depressed. With the new pay raise that is reflected into the cost of food to the customer you would want some type of service. If you aren't into people or have a personality maybe a customer service based job isn't for you.

I went in for lunch to get a tuna footlong sandwich and asked the lady working there (Alex) if she would do 6 inches of the tuna sandwich as normal on the bread and the rest of it (the tuna) in a bowl because I don’t want all the bread/carbs. She proceeded to put the tuna on the sandwich and in the bowl but this is where the problem starts. She gives me two small scoops of tuna on both the sandwich bread and in the bowl. I asked her to put just a tiny bit more tuna on just the sandwich because it was the smallest possible portion I’ve ever been given at any subway location. She then answers and says “I can take it out of your bowl and put it on the sandwich” I said no, can u please take a little more from your bin and just put it on. Just a little more. She then proceeded to say again “I can take it out of your bowl”. I didn’t want to start an argument or fight so I just said forget about it and she had a little smirk on her face. I will not be going to subways anymore after this experience. I would give zero stars if I could.

Tonight I visited the Subway on Pico / Barrington in West LA and an employee who mainly works at your location on Santa Monica Blvd, by the name of Jose, was working a double shift at the Barrington location to help them out. Whatever manager hired Jose should else would be giving a lot of credit because they found an ideal candidate to be working for them.I have to say this 23 year old kid impressed me from the moment I walked in the door. His smile, his attitude, his overall personality is one MANY could learn from. He LOVES his job and it shows. He is a person that you want working for you, because nothing is going to get in the way of him enjoying himself at work and going above and beyond for the customer. He was efficient, and engaging. If I had a business I would have offered him a job on the spot. Thank you Jose.

Staff are so friendly. I even left my wallet one time accidentally here and they kept it safe for me. When I came back to retrieve it the cash was still inside!

Everytime I come into this location the younger lady is always sure to be “by the book” only when it’s to inconvenience you. While building the sandwiches she assembles it as if any extra amounts come directly out of her paycheck, and if you decide to ask for more than what she’s put you’ll get a dirty look with it. Same experience while there again this time. Placed an order in person, but mobile ordered while physically in the store to receive a promo offer on a fountain drink. Even after showing her my confirmation number for my order & that it was just beverages she made sure they wouldn’t allow me to have the drinks until the ticket came through. Which meant sitting there for an additional ten minutes because she refused unless her system printed out that I had those drinks. Yes. It was the correct location, I double checked prior to ordering, as it’s always issues when I go. I got a side of attitude again with my foot long. ?

There is a young guy who works here who you can tell is high on drugs and is rude. I’ve only been there twice and he said the second time that I always give him trouble even though I only asked him if a cheese was the one I wanted because it didn’t look like it. He has no good customer
