High quality fish and sushi. The visit was really positive overall, but there was a slight hiccup at the start. The host (Saturday evening) didn’t seem too empathetic or eager to help when we asked about a high chair, simply giving us a quick "no." Thankfully, the evening improved right after, thanks to our amazing waitress. She immediately offered a booster seat and made sure we felt welcome and comfortable.Kid-friendliness: Not very kid-friendly.

Great food, mediocre service. Plates are just dropped in front of you, no explanation. Nobody checked in during our meal, waiter rushed us to order. A shame, the food really was as good as everyone says, just the kind of thing that makes you go “wow 140$ and I feel like I’m eating in a cafeteria”. Great host though.

Need more focused sushi places like this.Nevermind all the others that just want to sell me overpriced seaweed, mayonnaise, sriracha, and cream cheese flavored rice.

Sugarfish is always amazing. I go every time I’m in LA. Often a few times.
Dining at Sugarfish in Hollywood was amazing! The combination of the ambiance, the super fresh sushi, and the beautifully plated dishes made it a great dining experience. Sugarfish is a must-visit.

Ok for being such a trendy spot the food was actually pretty good here and I don't even love love sushi! Really friendly staff, relatively quick service, good sake, Sapporo reserve. Smaller establishment itself inside, but manageable, would definitely come back when in the LA area.

I had to see what everyone was raving about, as Sugarfish is frequently recommended to me. The Hollywood location is nearest to me so I gave them a shot. Honestly, it just tastes like your average sushi and the portions are small. There is no reason why anybody should be paying this much for this quality of sushi. Some of my friends say SF is the McDonald's of expensive sushi and I couldn't agree more. I really don't get the hype at all. Maybe people have more money than they know what to do with, or they haven't had actually good sushi before. Koreatown has better sushi than here. Kazoku has better sushi than here. Toshi in Valley Glen is better and cheaper than here (my second favorite spot). What's that spot in Los Feliz next to Coffee Bean on Hillhurst? By Albertson's? They have better sushi than here. Kura is better and cheaper than here. Buffet sushi may not be better than here but I'll take buffet sushi over underwhelming portions and pretentious, overhyped and greedily priced Sugarfish.

Fresh fish, warm and perfectly cooked rice, and best service! Hot green tea rounded out the Trust Me Nozawa menu!Dietary restrictions: No gluten free soy sauce/tamari but accommodation for gf was great
