Cioppino was a dud. The crab in my cioppino was the guts, the part that no one eats. This should never have been served. The mussels were so overcooked that the meat was disintegrating. The menu advertised striped bass but there was none. The clams and shrimp were OK and the broth was flavourful but that did not balance out the dish. For $35 there was very little to eat. The bread was good, though you have to buy it, along with the butter. Started with 6 Pacific coast oysters. 4 were nice, 2 were a little funky. Service and atmosphere were good but overall it was an overpriced and disappointing meal. I left feeling cheated.

Kind of hidden away in the slightly shady feeling streets south of Hollywood Blvd is this gorgeous cafe/restaurant.If the weather's nice try to get a table outside, otherwise inside is just lovely.Apart from the awesome breads, the salads and sandwiches are amazing. Try the grains bowl for something filling, healthy and delicious! The service is super friendly and intrusive, just the way it should be.Highly recommended.

Great courtyard and great inside to choose from! Really enjoyed the veggie burger, and the homemade chips were delicious.

Had dinner here with friends. The space is cute, somewhat. There’s an outdoor space that looked pleasant but we ate indoors. The interior seemed simultaneously cozy and uncomfortable. I found the music a bit too loud, making it difficult to have conversations at my table. The food itself was honestly just mid. My favorite was the bread but everything else was unremarkable if not avoidable. A lot of the dishes were on the salty-side. The service was also mediocre, not warm at all but ranging from fake-friendly to an ‘I’m just here’ vibe, and sometimes with adequate check-ins, other times with a bit of a wait (but nothing dismal). Of all the front of house staff we encountered, the busser was very nice followed by one of the servers. We all lucked out and found street parking nearby but it was crowded enough. There seemed to be a security guard at the entrance to the building complex.

What a delightful surprise. From turning off the street into the beautiful courtyard eating area to entering the cozy and tastefully decorated main dining room, superba delivers. The mussels dish and the beet dish were the perfect start. Then the sea bass and rigatoni Bolognese dishes were fantastic entrees. We will be back!

The atmosphere was nice for a date. Service was a bit on the slow end and we had a much of changes in server for some reason. Food was definitely on the saltier end and I couldn’t finish my meal. The cocktails were great though. I would come back just for the cocktails to chat with someone.

The cinnamon bun sells out for a reason! Great food, great vibes. Love the pastry cart. Burger was probably the favorite entree. Croquet Madame was also ?. Service a little slow, but our waiter was sooo nice and sent us home with amazing cookies.

Not just for bread lovers! Many gluten free accommodations available. Maybe less for hardcore celiacs, but the gf bun burger is excellent. Our excellent server, Matthew, brought me a GF brownie so I didn’t feel left out while the party enjoyed their cinnamon roll. The pecan cold brew was the perfect accompaniment. Love this place will be back again and again.Dietary restrictions: Gf buns, grain bowls, gf brownie

We were seeing a double-feature at the Egyptian and made a reservation for after. (Hint: they’re in easy walking distance of each other.) Haven’t been to this location since it was a pub (whose demise made us sad) but this place is quite good. I got Mary’s chicken, he got the schnitzel, and we ordered the bread and fancy butter. All great. Service good/attentive, there was a low-key vibe, and when we’re back in the area (we metro to the area from downtown - and avoid the parking hassles). It was too cold that evening…but their outdoor patio space is lovely!

The bread and the butters are great, the artichokes were delicious. The entrees are pretty meh—especially the pasta plates. I recommend doing tapas style here. The drinks are great as well!
