Parking, good food and service with fair prices, I’m glad that we went. The parking lot is not large, with a good number of stores it services, but cars are coming and going all of the time. It was not hard to find a place. The restaurant is not a big place and had plenty of seats when we went. You walk up to order, plus there is a good size menu with lots of options. It might take a bit to figure out what to get. We both ordered the Super Maki Combo bento box. There is plenty of food that comes with this meal. And it came pretty quick. Soup, tempura, steamed veggies, a couple of rolls, tempura, and a dumpling. They are not messing around here. The food was good, nothing really memorable, but nothing was questionable either. And for the price, not a bad deal. The staff was friendly and helpful when we were asking about the menu. When the food came to our table, we were happy with the freshness and presentation. The sauces were explained with what dishes they were for. It is a lot of soy sauce! The tempura dipping sauce was not what I am used to having with tempura but worked with the meal. It was very light and had a nice flavor. It is worth trying out for a low key Japanese meal.

When I lived in LA, SUSHI Q in Hollywood was one of my go-to spots — not just because the food was incredible, but because the people there made every visit feel special.
This place doesn’t rely on flashy decor or trendy aesthetics — it’s simple, low-key, and focused on what actually matters: the food and the service. The sushi is always fresh, perfectly balanced, and prepared with real care. You can tell there’s pride behind the counter. Every roll I had was packed with flavor, the fish was melt-in-your-mouth quality, and the rice was spot on — not too vinegary, not too sweet, just right.
What really set SUSHI Q apart for me was the staff. They were some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I met in LA. Genuinely kind, attentive without being pushy, and always made me feel at home. It’s rare to find that kind of warmth in the middle of Hollywood.
If you’re looking for great sushi without the pretentious vibe — just honest food made by good people — SUSHI Q is 100% worth it. I still think about it even after moving away.

Ordered doordash. Those were the nastiest salmon avo rolls. No seasoning, unripe avocados, and off-tasting fish.

Great service, she was so sweet! It’s a little hole in the wall place but that just adds to the charm of it. There are some pricey things on the menu but there are also affordable things. And they even have a student discount for the teriyaki bowl! And a 10% discount if paying with cash and the food smells amazing , Everytime I walk by it captures my nose
Am walking home now and can’t wait to try!

Really solid sushi and bowls. The prices on here are higher than they actually are by about $5. It was super affordable and big portions.

This place has been around for awhile. My daughter likes their chicken teriyaki bowl, and we haven’t been here in a very long time. She of course got the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and I got some shrimp tempura. Personally, I don’t like a lot of dark meat and they use nothing but dark meat which is why it’s probably cheaper. For the price the chicken teriyaki rice bowl is good. The shrimp tempura is disappointing, but again for the price…The inside needs a revamp for sure. This is Hollywierd though. You need a little taste. The service is great. The person taking our order was very helpful and nice.Overall for the price it’s not shabby. If your in a budget definitely a great deal!

I used to be a Hollywood native and would only get my sushi from here it's a low-key spot but by far the best! I have moved to a different city now but when I'm craving sushi I will make the drive. Sushi q is your sushi spot!
