I squished the cake because you need TWO PEOPLE TO open the box otherwise you WILL RUIN THE CAKE. It’s also so flimsy. Like SUSIE …spend more money and get a harder paper box and NO need for the INSERT AT THE BOTTOM of the box. Are you kidding??? as if that’s gonna save my cake from rolling out of the box? Like what is the purpose other than it being impossible to open without multiple people? WORST DESIGN
Edit: The person who responded obviously has never opened their boxes. The front panel has an insert that goes in at the bottom of the box. Therefore, someone else needs to be holding the box up in order for me to look underneath the box and take the insert out. Hence, impossible for one person to complete successfully without ruining the cake.

Susie’s cake is the best store in Los Angeles. Good price, good service, good quality, gorgeous the paper bag, package.., I tried to eat cakes and pies at different store, but I couldn’t find it. Really and honestly , Susie’s cake is number one.

Came from Sac and stumbled upon this place. Lemon cake was the BEST!! Their lemon cupcake was also so good. As well as their vanilla cake slice. Their chocolate chip cookie is also so amazing and yummy. The people working are kind and giving and friendly! Better than the rest in LA!!

This past week was nonstop with back to back meetings, long hours, and a very special celebration on Friday night for a dear friend’s 39th sobriety birthday. A colleague at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles recommended SusieCakes, and I’m so glad they did.
I ordered the 9 inch carrot cake online the day before the dinner and arranged for it to be delivered to the restaurant by 5 PM, knowing I would not be available to manage anything that day. Not only was the carrot cake the hit of the evening—it was moist, perfectly spiced, and beautifully made—but the delivery was seamless. SusieCakes coordinated everything flawlessly. I did not need to call, confirm, or worry. It just happened. That kind of reliability during a hectic week was a gift in itself.

Nice and clean place, but I wasn’t really impressed. The presentation was lovely, but the taste didn’t quite match the expectations. It’s okay, but not something I’d go out of my way for.
