Ued to be a buzzy Bengali grocery store/Restaurant.. Their weekend specials of Kababs are great though. Sadly the weekend Kababs are gone ? and I hear new ownership takes over from today. Let's see how will it shape up. ?

The Environment is great but less jilapi. Need to have more varieties. The Beef kabab and parathas was amazing! I will be coming here again.

Excellent home style dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. I lunched here with a friend recently and was impressed by the food and service. We plan to revisit next time we're in Hollywood for lunch.

When I was ordering the food this guy taking one order and ignored me. Then went to flirting on the phone. he seemed like didn’t need business.

?? BANGLADESHExcerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:Sometimes placing an order means waiting for the customer ahead of you get all three heaping bags of recently cut ginger to her car first, other times you can walk in and not see any people including staff. There is plenty to check out before someone comes to take your order though, step up to the steam table and see what looks good.

Aug 31, 2021 7pm went there to have dinner with a friend. Parking was tight as the establishment shares it with with several businesses and ordered the basmati rice which was good and aromatic. The veggie eggplant was equally flavorful but the goat curry was a lil bit disappointing. Why? There was hardly any meat in there just bones floating in fatty oil that $14 container. Total bill was $25. While I suggest you give it a try but not highly recommended, The guy at the counter dosnt speak English can't explain what else is on the fastfood menu. In most establishments here in Los Angeles tap water is available but not here. The outdoor seating area is greasy no one seems to clean it up for the next customer. So if your craving for Bangladeshi/ Indian food just go to Aladin along 3rd and Vermont areas, been there several times and their food and prices are similar to Swadesh but they got nice customer service and the the store is clean. Seems they like to operate their store like in their home country not like the standards that were used to here in America.

Ordered pickup through Grubhub and specified scheduled pickup for 40 minutes from the time of the order. When we got there, the food was not ready and we had to wait another 40 minutes for it to be ready. Food tasted fine, the goat meat in the goat biryani was a bit tough. The mixed vegetables were good.

Swadesh is a small Bangladeshi market that also serves food on a stretch of 3rd Street in Little Bangladesh in Koreatown. Goat Curry: The curry has a fair number of spices, but the heat level is pretty mellow except for a slight tingle on your tongue. The curry allows the flavors of the goat to shine through at first, then the spices start to warm up. The chunks of goat meat aren't too gamy. It tastes a little bit like lamb. There are lots of bones to look out for, but that's where you find the most tender meat. The meal is really hearty and I probably should have ordered a side of vegetables.

Old world feeling and freshly prepared meals. Every Indian restaurant has a secret recipe and you must try the chicken tikka, it is unlike any other.
