Everything that I tried here at this little Mexican spot in a strip mall, just west of Chinatown, was delicious! Love the fresh tasting, handmade tortillas and the few Oaxacan specialty items that I tried, including chorizo, black beans and cactus salad. I also really enjoyed the tamales, particularly the chicken with mole tamale. And the sandia was so refreshing (and tasty) on a hot day. You could really taste the watermelon flavor, rather than just sugar water with a dash of watermelon flavor. Small place, but the two women that were working there are clearly very attentive to details and keeping a clean and organized kitchen. And, they were both very friendly and accommodating.

Called to place an order for breakfast, but I was told there only selling tamales today. I went to the restaurant to purchase some tamales and seen the ladies making food for orders 🧐. When I got home to eat my tamales that I just purchased, the MASA was very powdery and did not taste good. My family and I always come here to buy tamales by the dozen but something different something has changed They’re not the same tamales as before at least they don’t taste like The original recipe.

The worst thing is, the people who work here are quite rude and the food takes a long time to prepare. When you ask, they answer rudely and tell me to go somewhere else if I don't like it.

I ordered food to eat here and was given a glass of water while I waited. Over the next few minutes, I slowly realized that the glass was visibly dirty on the inside, the water had bits floating in it and a brown thing floating on it, and the ice cube had pieces of what looked like a towel in it. The drink is comprised of water, ice, and a cup. Literally, all three components of my drink were tainted. Such a complete failure clearly indicates serious systemic issues here. I was absolutely disgusted and repulsed. I had already paid. I absolutely did not touch the water, accepted the food, but to-go, and DID NOT eat it. I couldn't even look at it.

My experience utterly removed my ability to consider this place safe. Beware.

This is a hidden gem for tlayudas and tlacoyos. I m also a big fan of their crepes ?they are very clean and the service is always great. You might wait for the food just because it’s made fresh. I come once or twice per month ever since I came first (2 years ago).

Bought a green chicken tamale. The masa was not cooked properly also, the chicken had bits of cartridge. My friend told me to take it back. I couldn't even finish it, 2 bites and trash.

When I came to LA, I went to a famous taco chain restaurant, but this one was by far the best! I think it's an authentic Mexican taco. I thought it would be difficult for tourists to enter because it was run by local residents, but it turned out to be a very friendly, family-run shop. They didn't carry alcohol, so I was kindly asked to buy it at the store next door. I went to eat there two days in a row.

Parking: You can park several cars in front of the store.

Great food, everything was a good portion for the price, and the quality was nice and tasty. The service was great as well, very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere; only issue I found was the seating. A bit difficult to have a family meal, but it is a café so it's understandable.PozoleTamalesTorta de asadaQuesadilla de asadaHorchataCrepesAll great!!!
