I loved this place and now it's closed. :-(. They had vegan tamales and some of the best I've ever had. The jalapeño pesto potato was my favorite. I also loved the wild mushroom. I guess now I'll have to get one of the chef's (Alice Guadalupe Tapp) tamale cookbooks so I can learn to make them myself. But what a bummer.

best tamales? yeah right... and for the price are you kidding me? $ 5 for a tamale that can be bought at another restaurant for $3. the price is not hugely different but these tamales are the same exact size as other tamales. sure they have variety, we had five different kinds of flavors. Honestly they where small and the taste was, meh... very dissapointed...

Best tamales on the west side (best side). Home made, great selection...sauces are awesome.

I live in LA so I know what a good tamale consists of. This is good... none the less I payed the upwards of 6 dollars for a TAMALE?! that's literally maybe 3 ingredients. The variety of tamales are nice but I won't be going back considering I can pass a tamale lady in LA and pay 1$ a tamale, same quality if not better.. I ordered 6 tamales... my total was 55$ lmaoooooooo. That's seriously an absolute joke. I don't care if we're in Beverly Hills... I shouldn't be paying 6.50 for a single tamale

I actually love this place.. but when going there tonight at 5:40pm it was closed already and on their website it shows open till 6pm.. Not cool when I headed right over assuming they would still be open.. What a waste of gas driving there.

Yummy tamales. Ordered a chicken verde and a beef machaca. Both are good but the beef lachaca is tastier.

Still amazing. I love this place. King crab tamales. Cinnamon sugar tamales. Jalapeno pesto potato. Machaca beef... Absolutely amazing every time, consistent!!! ((Pro tip:: eat them asap, they are in styrofoam to-go containers and the steam quickly dries out the tamale, they are the best fresh anyway))

Small clean place in a strip mall. The tamales are okay. Ordered two beef and one pork. I've had better, I've had worse...nothing special. Came in 30 minutes after they opened. Young lady at the counter was okay, like the food...not great, but had worse. Could be more welcoming and enthusiastic, considering I was the only customer. I would have settled for a small friendly smile and a thank you at the end. I don't think she was intentionally unfriendly, but just not trained in customer service. Food came out relatively fast and hot (great). Price is on the higher side considering the food is just okay. One more thing, the place is small and there's no privacy, so when the lady went to the back to place my order, I overheard their entire private conversation. Kind of unprofessional, but at least not offensive. Parking lot is limited, depending on time of day, look for street parking. Options for tamales this side of town is limited, so If you are craving, they are okay. Just keep in mind these things. I will probably order again, but instead place a phone order so I can get in and out quickly for a better experience :-)

I've passed by this place several times while in the area and had always wondered if their tamales were any good. Well, All I can say is that I was NOT disappointed! At first, I just ordered one (the spinach and mushroom tamale) and sat in the parking lot and ate it bc I was so hungry... I couldn't help but to go back and order three more ( different flavors cold). I just reheated them according to instruction this morning, and lemme tell you, my taste buds were singing and ... The only thing is that they may be a little pricey for some, but worth it! I will be going back!
