Always our favorite place. My husband‘s been coming here for years. The food is outstanding, the service is outstanding. It was my birthday and we had a great time. We like that it's dimly lit. The only thing that I would change is the piano player is quite loud and it's hard to hear the person you're talking to sometimes but I guess you can sit further away. Great place.
An iconic spot that comes with an unreasonable price tag imo. Expect $250 per head with tip + $24 for valet. Some silly rules like you can't sit with your date on the same side of the table. Worth going for a special occasion, but like so many places in LA - severely overpriced cocktails ($25 for mist). Plenty of other restaurants with as good if not better food for half the price.
Service started off stellar, but at some point, our server just dropped off the map and I ultimately had to request the check from someone else. Oh well, good thing you dont come here for the service. Or really the food for that matter. The tuna tartar, for example, was brought out within 2-3 minutes of ordering. How could that be, unless it was pre-prepared? But you do come for the scene, and Tower Bar delivers on that end. Lots of pretty people and even got the celebrity sighting...
