Than Huu makes an excellent Bahn Mi. The baguette is perfect, the ingredients are simple and fresh and there are basically two items on the menu. Bahn Mi and soup; the do have a drink and tea menu as well. The service is very kind, friendly and gracious. Than Huu does have little stools and tables in the middle of an asian bazaar in Chinatown.

I came here four years ago during my visit to LA, and I hope they are still in business because I'd love to get boba from this place again.

Love this place, awesome staff! I was greeted by a sweet old man, and his kind service and delicious boba drinks were definitely worth the trip to chinatown! He deserves all the love and happiness in the world

Excellent banh mi Vietnamese sandwiches! Yummy Boba drinks, good variety. This is my go to Vietnamese Cafe in Chinatown. No parking validation but plenty of street parking and meters. There is a parking structure for as little as $3. Very affordable to dine here. We got 2 Boba specialty drinks and 3 banh mi sandwiches for $30.

I've been going here since I was a wee little baby and this is still my go to place for pho ga. It's a tiny little hole in the wall mom and pop shop that can be a little tricky to find as it's tucked away hidden in between shops. Walk up the red stairs and immediately keep left. The shop only has two table/chair set so keep that in mind if you're thinking of eating here. I typically just take my chicken pho Togo (the soup comes packaged separated from the noodles so you don't have to worry about it getting soggy) they have a very limited menu but everything is sooooo good. On their menu you can find pho ga, seafood noodles, and of course some banh mis and Vietnamese smoothies. super affordable. My fiancé drives an hour in traffic just to get me my pho ga monthly. Def worth the trip. Oh and it's cash only but if you're in need of an atm, you should be able to find one nearby !

Stumbled upon this Chinatown restaurant by accident. No sit down, it's a hole in the wall with fast and friendly service. Took my order over the phone. Cash only!!!! Great place to get chicken noodle soup for under $10. Good portion, good broth. Noodles a little too soft for my preference, but overall, helped me get through a cold. Street parking or public parking in the back for $3/hr.

it's a bit tricky to find, go up the stairs and turn left.they don't have any vegetarian options on the menu (yet) but if you ask for "no meat" they will make you a banh mi without it!

I needed Banh mi Saturday morning. So China town it is ( OC to far and I was heading there later in the night)! Street parking and located upstairs in the mall area. I recommend coming early even though they open 10:30am. Take a little walk enjoy and explore the area. Even the mall has a bunch of vendors that are fun to look at. The older woman working was so sweet and spoke English. Order only two types of Banh mi chicken and pork. I opted for both. The bread was so crispy and fresh! Also ordered a chicken soup. This was good, would be back again if in the area.

A bit of a hidden shop because you have to go up the stairs, walk past a few small shops, and then you'll see some tables outside Than Huu. When I came (10/13/22) they had quite a few drink options but only 4 food options: Pho Ga, "Seafood Noodle", Chicken Banh Mi, and Pork Banh Mi. The noodle dishes were each $9 and the Banh Mi's were each $6. I ordered the pho ga, and it was pretty good. The bowl came with noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, and 3 pieces of chicken. Everything tasted really good; my only complaint was that my the bowl only came with 3 pieces of chicken.

This place reminds me of home. It's hidden in a little wall and the sandwiches are so good. The bread is perfectly flakey and for the price of $6 so worth it. To find it you have to go up the stairs and make a left. There are a few parking lots around it but mostly street parking.
