Such a cute coffee/stationery shop. I had the matcha latte with oatmilk and lightly sweetened and it was good but next time i'm getting regularly sweetened. I usually have to ask for lightly sweetened wherever I go and this time when I did, it could've used a bit more sweetener which is a good thing. This way I know they do not use too much sweetener in their drinks. The lady that ran the stationery station was so nice and helpful and she answered any questions about the pens she recommends and the paper quality of the notebooks. You can try the pens and how they write as they have a sample for each and paper to try them and I bought two pens as I love to collect pens.As far as parking, there's plenty of street parking, but I walked here from the nearby LA Historic State Park. It was nice taking a stroll through chinatown with my matcha latte and then I went back to the park to go for a walk. I would come back to this shop and try the other espresso drinks.

Five Spice is very good, and has amazing little items for people who are into art. Ten out of ten.

I love this place a lot. It's a cute stationery store that's also a coffee shop (I think they're separate businesses though and just share a space). Super tiny but the coffee is so wonderful. They have Asian inspired flavors and so far I've tried the thank you latte and the kabocha flavored one. They're very similar, delicately spiced lattes, but if you have the chance to get the seasonal kabocha one, I think I liked that one a tiny bit more! I know these are lattes, but I found the espresso to be very smooth and while the cups are not large, I think they pack a lot of flavor! I wish they were open a little earlier so I could come before work, but I am delighted either way, whenever I get a chance to visit. If you're a tourist, they have a lot of cute Chinatown themed stuff like cards and postcards for souvenirs.

No indoor seating, and only 5 people can be inside at a time. When we came we had to wait outside for awhile until people left. It took us awhile to get our coffees, but the cashier was nice. The coffee was alright. Not somewhere to go if you want to hang around awhile.

I stopped in here about a month ago with my bf and got the five spice latte which was honestly DELICIOUS, but my boyfriend's drink ( a latte I can't remember the name of) was awful as it tasted like burnt bacon somehow. There were 3 people behind the counter in an empty shop and somehow nobody could acknowledge us, or even when we asked basic questions like which one could be considered the sweetest latte they said "I dunno depends?" Which seems like they either A) don't know which is a training issue, or B) don't care, so we just picked out a couple of drinks that sounded decent and hoped for the best because we just want to get drinks and get out asap. The whole experience was lackluster, and that's being nice. Luckily LA is full of coffee shops that are good with great people so maybe it was an off day for them, but it's not one I'd ever want to repeat so can't say I will return.

Second time here. I actually love this place, the drinks, and ambience. My first time was great. This second time around was not a pleasant experience at all. There is an employee here who took my order & saw that my significant other was right beside me gave me my total before I could even order a second beverage. Gave me my total after my s/o ordered his coffee. I then asked oh can I add this sticker to my transaction. She then proceeded to sarcastically say ok anythinggggg else? I was appalled & taken aback. I wanted to grab a cookie as well but at that point I was like yikes I need to get out of here. It was such an uncomfortable experience. Regardless of how you feel at work it shouldn't affect the customers take the day off & think twice before treating someone with that poor attitude. Please and thanks.

Loved this quaint little coffee shop! The matcha coffee was lightly roasted & mixed with other aromatic flavors. I was very pleased with what they had to offer as well! The products were all displayed neatly and the service was kind. No seating indoors tho, just some small benches outside

Really cute small cafe with stationary and unique, tasty drinks, nestled into thetouristy Chinatown plaza.Their unique drinks are definitely their greatest strength, ranging from their hojicha latte to Five Spice "MSG" latte. I had their house latte, the You're Welcome, which was a heart warming sweet blend of lapsang souchong (camellia), chicory pecan bitters, and espresso. My initial impression was "bacon" which gradually mellowed into a more soothing, herbal flavour. As strange as that sounds, it was really good, and an experience I've never had before.I'm coming back for sure to try out their other drinks as well. Definitely recommend.

Small coffee shop located in the heart of chinatown with interesting flavors. The inside is a very small with no indoor seating. There are chairs for sitting outside. This would not be a good place to study. It does double as a small stationary store. Parking is metered street for the most part but if you go a few streets down you can find some free 2 hours street parking. I think the service was off when I went because I felt like she was not really helpful with ordering. I got the hojicha latte which i really liked because you could really taste the roasted-ness of the tea itself. The Your Welcome latte with lapsang souchang and pecan bitters was something that I had never experienced before either. It was very savory for a latte, but in a good way. Also tried their black sesame cookie which was good but nothing amazing.

Super cute coffee shop near the Chinatown plaza. Perfect spot to grab a quick coffee beverage while walking through the famous plaza. Ordered the hojicha latte. Perfect amount of sweetness and the hojicha flavor is nice and strong. Prices are fair Parking is on the Main Street (metered) Really friendly baristas. Will be a go to spot whenever we are in the areal

I was a bit skeptical about the hojicha considering I love stereoscope's pasty-ness intense hojicha latte but thank you was surprisingly really good. It was already sweetened but loved how deep the flavor of tea was in it! If parking was plenty, I'd be back in a heart beat!

I went here twice and both times they were out of the hojicha latte. The first time, I just got their mediocre sweet latte and the second time, I just walked out. It seems like this location isn't prepared. The location in Anaheim is much better- the staff are a lot kinder too.

I got a matcha latte a while ago but I don't think it's even one. I asked the guy if they make their matcha latte strong, he said yes, followed it up if I want it sweet, I responded with slightly sweet. but I don't even think it's matcha at all. It tasted mostly regular milk with sugar.
