Tried their arepa at the Torrance farmers market. The girl charged me an extra fee when I paid cash. The arepa unfortunately came out soggy, the bean puree was too much, and you couldn’t get any sauces to go on the side. Not worth the $18+ price I paid for just one

$52 for 2 arepas and 1 water… definitely not worth it 🙃

If you’re looking to try arepas, there are some great options in LA. But if you want to taste something out of this world — food that’s so good it makes no sense, with top-tier quality and generous portions — you’ve got to try The Arepa Stand. Nothing else compares. Easily one of the best meals you can have in all of LA. 100% recommended.

I had the delicious hand made cheese arepa for $13 and it was soooo yummy. The arepa was gently crispy with a generous amount of cheese. I also bought 2 hallacas with chicken, the dough was incredibly soft and full of flavors. Again very generous filling. Will definitely become a regular.

The arepa is good but very pricey. Almost $20 with tax (not including tip) for a single arepa, more than $20 if you do any of the $3 add-ons. This would be more like a rare treat for me and my family. Tasty, but the value is not there for the average family budget.

The truth is, the worst arepa I've ever eaten, it doesn't have any seasoning, the meat doesn't taste like anything, it doesn't look like shredded meat, the beans are canned, I really couldn't even eat it ??

Best arepa I’ve ever had - hands down. Light and crispy pocket, smooth black beans, lightly pickled sweet peppers. I thought I was only going to eat half but scarfed it down in 5 minutes. A bit pricy but supremely tasty.

We did the arepa stand food truck at the Manhattan beach food truck. It was pretty average and dry. I have to be honest and say it was pretty basic.

I loved the seasoning and the Reina Pepiada arepa with a good portion, accompanying it with the slices was a very good idea! Thank you. Really good taste!

This stand is one of the biggest reasons I love coming to the Hollywood Farmers market! The food is fresh and delicious, the service is lovely, and as someone who spent time in South America it’s as authentic as any arepa I’ve had down there. Do NOT skip this amazing food stand if your in the area on Sundays!
The 405 and East LA are my favs.
The average 10min wait and the messy experience is well worth it!!
