I was at the Auld Fella for St. Patrick's Day. I expected a lot of people, slow service, cold food, etc. I'm a reasonable person, particularly because I'm a bartender and know how holidays pan out. I was lucky enough to snag a few seats at the bar. I will give props to the kitchen for pushing out piping hot food at a reasonable speed despite the crowd. The ambience was lively and festive. That's where the positive ends. Drinks and overall service were slow. I can understand and expect that; this isn't my complaint. My issue is that a service member knocked over an entire glass of Guinness on me. My pants were soaked and shoes splattered. No apologies were given nor any degree of reconciliation offered. At my bar, if this happened, the entire bill would likely have been comped. In the least, a conciliatory drink would have been poured, complimentary dessert sent, or item(s) taken off the bill. As stated, none of that occurred. When the bill was presented, my girlfriend (who knows the owner) highlighted the fact that nothing was done. Two bartenders in the vicinity retorted with a defensive "I didn't spill a drink on you." The bartender, Kevin W., quite aggressively said, "It's the busiest day of the year." Yes, and? I'm a paying customer. Am I expected to bear the brunt? Am I supposed to accept a beer being dumped on me just because it's a holiday? Sounds like an excuse and awful customer service. When I replied with, "I'm in the industry; I'm a bartender. I'd never treat a customer this way." His response: (condescendingly) "I'm a bartender. I wouldn't behave THIS way." Wow. He ended up taking off two of my drinks with an attitude. After the comp, I paid my bill in cash, tipping $40 (a 60% tip despite the nasty customer service). Can you believe that Kevin walked through the entire restaurant to track me down? He threw the change in my face, saying "That was the most ridiculous exchange ever!" Agreed. Instead of accepting a beyond-generous tip, he let his ego further control him and worsen an already damaged guest experience. If I didn't think it was a pooled house, I would have rescinded my tip due to his audacity and aggression. As an Irish citizen, who has been to the Auld Fella a handful of times, do better please. Principle matters. Customer service matters, whether it's the slowest day of the year or St. Patrick's Day. Lastly, this is not how you treat customers when you have only 28 reviews on Yelp.

This is the time of the year the internet is alive with lists of places to go on St. Patrick's Day. Always read these lists although I never go out on St. Patrick's Day. Saw Auld Fella on some of these online lists. First thing I thought was it was very nice the place was named after me. Second thing I thought was Auld Fella looked like someplace I would like to go. Then I noticed Auld Fella was five blocks from where I lived, so I went there today. Has the chicken curry today. It was very good and there was a lot of it. Going to try the chicken pot pie the next time I go to Auld Fella. Going to go on a Sunday and try the chicken Sunday Roast.

Auld Fella in Los Angeles offers a charming dining experience, made even better by its outdoor seating and live music. The ambiance is cool and relaxed, creating a welcoming atmosphere with good service. The food selection is diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes. Overall, Auld Fella is a fantastic spot to enjoy good dinning experience.

Auld fella has become a staple for me! It’s perfect for dates or a night out with friends. I have not ordered a single thing that was not absolutely delicious, but the burger is my favorite. So many tasty aiolis as well if you’re an aioli girlie like me!

Nice pub, good for meeting up with friends for a casual drink or food! Met up with some friends here during happy hour. I love that they still do happy hour. Drinks and food were both good.

It must've been an off night at this restaurant. I saw reviews on Yelp averaging 4.9 and thought fantastic- let's give it a try. First it was freezing cold inside and even when I mentioned it twice, the front door remained open. It was pouring rain outside and very cold!! The food: The appetizer, garlic bloom was a good start, but it went downhill from there. I'm not sure why other reviews raved about the food, but my personal homemade shepherds pie is hands down far better than the one I ordered. Corned beef sandwich was ok. Thick slices of corned beef made it difficult to eat. Would I come back? Never! This Irish girl will cook at home before eating here again.

Sunday Lunch time we drive down here from Santa Clarita to check it out. Well worth the 35 minute drive.Nice big airy bar with modern decor, friendly staff, thank you Carl, and great food.I had the roast beef carvery and Her Ladyship had Fish 'n Chips. We shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Our plates were well clean when we were done. ( I prefer my mashed potatoes more heavily salted but I still are them all ).On their menu they say the Irish coffee is made with Bushmills. But fair play to Carl I noticed he made it using Tullamore Dew, If it's good enough for The Buena Vista in San Fran., who are we to argue. So well done Carl.I'll be back for sure but would arrive later to catch the live Irish music 5-8 on Sunday.Parking: We parked for free on Wilshire. However they have valet Parking for $8 at busier times

So many good things about this restaurant/sports bar! Upon walking in I was greeted by the friendly and extremely funny/entertaining bartender. He used to work at Wally's. Made me feel at home. Very good menu of upscale bar food, Irish classics, and drinks. My club sandwich was excellent, along with the crispy fries. All the food being delivered looked great! Place is clean, good seating, super friendly staff. I'll def be back. Try this place! Only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because they had the sound turned down on the TV, but had really good music playing. Personal preference, maybe it should be a 5 star!

One of the most unique Bars in the neighborhood, super friendly staff and loveliest bartender. We came on a Sunday morning, so they brunch drinks including bottomless mimosas! Food is absolutely amazing , we had buffalo cauliflowers so yummy ! We also had the roast which is their special dish and that was great too ! Oh plus they have live music alot of nights. Highly recommend!!!
