It's a nice place but it's too crowded, not much room to move around. We were seated in the back left corner & felt trapped. The food was ok. The food was really over priced. The bartenders were nice but were often forgotten about. I order a Watermelon Margarita & it was pretty awful. They have a jukebox that plays music. The club vibe was cool. Seemed laid back. Some people were singing & vibing; others just socialized. There isn't any public parking. They do have valet. There is street parking but we know that could be awful. We had to park a quarter of a mile away, which isn't that bad. Security is really nice, but I'm sure they know when to be tough.

The Cork has been around for forty years plus. It has always been the neighborhood corner "go to" of the West Adams district. Known for serving huge perfectly Fried Crispy Chicken Wings, a huge Fish platter filled Cat fish, Shrimp, Red Snapper, Calamari & Scallops and incredible beverages....

This is Smazzy place. Though in the cut cornering a construction zone alley way. The place itself is cool and last night was a bunch of good looking, grown folk having loads of fun and conversation. Definitely a place to come to if you're visiting L.A.

The bartender has no customer service skills. Very rude and snappy. Very unfriendly. When we walked in , the bartender attitude changed immediately. The bartender (a female) was laughing and smiling with the Male customers. When I (a female) arrived, the expression immediately changed from friendly to angry. I couldn't believe it. It was so bad that I spoke to the bartender, trying to change her mood but this didn't work so after about 10 minutes we left. She seemed very insecure when I walk in. When I informed her we were leaving, she seemed relieved. This was a very weird experience. I never met this woman before this day but she seemed very intimidated by me and I was very friendly to her.

I like it here. Has a really nice vibe. Listen to old school, everyone is nice and friendly. The fried chicken is soooo delicious that I cannot take it! I want to eat it everyday. The Cork is definitely my choice for delicious fried chicken and shrimp as well. There's a jukebox there and every night is pretty chill. The weekend gets busy, but the crowd is mixed and everyone is really cool. The bathroom in the ladies room is big! It has a full length mirror and a regular mirror. There's paper towels as well as Kleenex in there and they're clean!!! That's a big plus for me because when you drink... You become well aquatinted with the ladies room. The bartenders vary, but are all really professional and great pourers. That cosmopolitan I had was seriously one of the best drinks I've ever had. The selection is diverse, there's top shelf alcohol and regular priced. The crowd is usually fitted on the weekends so come looking cute.
