This place also has a long history in Koreatown. The food is impeccable.
The prices have gone up, but if you're craving dongchimi noodles and meat,
this is the place to go. The meat is all delicious, but the prices have gone up significantly compared to before, so you'll have to settle for beef tongue or Gilmok Gui. It's a place you'll return to for the taste.

A True K-Town Classic That Has Stood the Test of Time.
I’ve been a regular here for decades. This is the place to go for authentic, generous portions of Korean BBQ at an honest price.
In a time when so many classic restaurants are disappearing one by one, I am truly grateful that this place has kept its consistent taste and quality for so many years.
The Dongchimi Guksu (Cold Radish Water Kimchi Noodles) is an absolute must-try to finish your meal.
It’s rare to find a place like this anymore. I sincerely hope they stay in business for a long, long time. Thank you for keeping the tradition alive!

felt a little rushed to order right away as soon as we were seated, server kept coming back every 30 seconds asking if we were ready to order. Water is served upon asking and I had to ask twice before getting my water.
I did not like how the marinated meat and the unmarinated meats were cooked together in one pan, so the unmarinated meat was getting cooked in the marinate.
Also we were told we can eat the meat when it was clearly pink and oozing blood.

The Korean bbq here is ok, the two sets for 2 with 3 meat choices are decent and the portions are generous enough to make even 3 ppl full. The service was a bit lacking where we often had to find or call out to them, only to be ignored a couple times. However, I will say they are usually quick to fulfill the requests of water and banchan when you eventually ask them.
The beef tongue, house special, ribeye and chilmok special gui (boneless plate short rib) was the better meats. The Korean cold noodle was very good. A tad bit pricey imo. It felt a bit of a nickel and dime type place given they charge you for extra rice and even lettuce. The restaurant has a lot of air vents but it gets pretty smokey so they open their entrance door which I feel is a bad idea since flies and bugs can get in.

This is my absolute favorite BBQ restaurant. The prices are amazing, and their Gilmok beef roast has the best marbling — the quality has never once changed in all the years I’ve been coming here. The marinated Gilmok roast is always top-quality and the portions are incredibly generous. You will never find this quality at this price anywhere else.
And you must, must, must try the dongchimi noodle soup. It’s unbelievably refreshing, flavorful, and something I constantly crave.
I’ve been coming here for 15 years, and the staff has always been the same — consistently kind, friendly, and welcoming. This place is truly my all-time favorite, my ride-or-die spot. Highly recommend!

Superb mul-naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles) and very good Korean BBQ. Honestly I prefer to focus on the cold noodles here as they're so good, but friends always seem to get distracted by the kbbq. Parking is a small shared lot that gets both tight and full

Restaurantji Recommends
I recently went back after quite some time and ordered the grilled sirloin along with the dongchimi cold noodles. The food brought back the same great flavors and generous portions I remembered from before, which was really satisfying. The only noticeable change was the price increase, but considering today’s overall dining costs, it still felt reasonable. The atmosphere remained warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a good meal. The servers were impressively fast and attentive—almost a little too quick at times—but it showed how well-organized and efficient the service was. Compared to many other restaurants these days, the overall value and experience here were definitely above average, and I left feeling very satisfied.
