Great time here. Meticulously decorated, has a saloon/tavern vibe that I was looking for in LA. It seems like they have free live music all the time, which is fantastic. It is adjacent to skid row so be smart about how you're traveling to and from. There is no clear signage - look for the opening in their gated parking lot. The parking lot patio has a grungy LA vibe with an outdoor smoking area. If you're not a fan of the live bands, they seem to have a deejay outside in the covered patio area playing dance tunes. There was a random fire dancer performing when we were there, not sure how often that happens, but I guess anything can happen in LA!

My company hosted a party at the Escondite, and it was the perfect venue for our event. The staff was friendly and helpful, and got food orders filled and served quickly! All of our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend the Escondite for your next event.

Great outdoor smoking area. Men's room less than accessible. The stall door wouldn't close w my powerchair in it. Pretty uncomfortable, w saloon style, swinging, half doors for the outer restroom door, and unable to close the door to the stall felt v exposed. Drinks, food, and service were impeccable, however. If you're a powerchair user, plan on using the restrooms elsewhere.
