I was there in 1988. I was drinking beer by the pitcher. I stayed until closing. There were these hobo girls in there and they came up one by one asking for drinks, which I bought for all, and I also bought these plastic flowers that this illegal was peddling in the bar. Closing time came ,lights came on and I went for the door and half walked and staggered down Angeles street. I made it about to 7th st.and fell there. These two guys started trying to take my shoes ,but I just kept kicking, even when one had a knife to my throat and was telling me he'd kill me. A colored girl showed up and started calling them by name and told them to hit the road, leave. She gave me a blanket for my head and stayed a short few minutes. I woke up the next morning with a hand reaching over and snatching my glasses. I got up and chased him and he put the glasses down and took off. The bar had a good atmosphere though that I recall.I thank that woman.for saving my life that night.

Drove here to see the king. Maybe Adam 22 in his prime. Only saw a man in a tent 1 out of 10 stars

This saloon was used in the very first episode of Starsky & Hutch! Classic scene when Hutch asked the girl at the bar “does your mommy know you use language like that”?
Bar looks the same from that episode in 1975.

What a place!! Just what you look for in a dive bar, good beer, fair prices, great conversation and lovely patrons - Pancake, bishop and the guy who beat up bukowski - We love you guys!!!
The neighborhood seems a bit shady but that place made us feel safe and right at home.

This place is convenient in burbank for a local spot...if not most places are closed or far during the day. I loved the Hospitality when we walked in. The flights are cheap and worth the surprise deal when you get there. As far as I've tried many wines...these were amazing for the price and the flavor of these wines where amazing. I recommend tre vigne Cabernet! So good not to dry but just perfect! Pair it with a good steak and your taste buds will water. 10/10 for downtown burbank you will not find any other place better!
