30 minutes for an overpriced-cold sandwich?!! Mad overpriced and terrible service. First time customer and won’t be returning.

I’m not sure if there have been changes in sizes or common inconsistencies (which i haven’t experienced until today) but I really do love to order the grilled cheese and tomato soup here. Today my soup was so tiny and i’ve never had it this small before with my order? My grilled cheese sandwich was not anywhere near my sandwiches in the past which I will include in my review because aside from my one bad order I can’t get myself to discredit my favorite meal from here. Anyways, I really do hope my next order won’t be like the one from this evening.

Great staff, lovely cafe, but there was paper in our soup and tomatoes when we asked for none. NO TOMATOES was even written on the sandwich's wrapper...

The Oaks is an overpriced, non-organic and very replaceable market, operated by bitter and racist employees. And phantom ownership who thinks it's acceptable to defer their wage liability to customers. A toxic tip culture and an employee who literally insulted me to my face has me shopping anywhere but here.

I went shopping and I have to say the staff service was the worst I've ever seen anywhere I've been. They treated me like I was asking for free food. Especially a woman with yellow hair, about 35 years old. I don't recommend this place at all. Deplorable, horrible.

Food is freshly cooked to order. The selection of alcohol spirits is terrific, a great place to pick up a basket full of goods for a picnic, or have brunch outdoors. The coffee selection is awesome and the baristas are always friendly. The restroom and eating areas are kept sanitized. In conclusion the place is pet friendly. A cool place to hang out.

I never write reviews so this is new.
This was my first experience here. My friend lives walking distance so he introduced me to this lovely looking marketplace. And I hate to say it but I was so disappointed. I ordered a Chai Latte. They did not have Chai. So, I ordered a matcha sweetened with agave. When I got my drink, they let me know they were out of agave, so I got honey instead. The drink was neither hot, nor sweetened properly (although the barista did apologize for the lack of agave), and the matcha was watery even though I ordered oat milk. I’m really not the person to go out of my way to criticize but for a nearly $7 drink I’m really disappointed in the experience. I’m looking at the quarter-consumed cup of lukewarm green stuff and I nearly contemplated taking it back. Which isn’t something I’m in the practice of doing AT ALL. But this was simply bad

I want to love this place so badly, but the food just keeps disappointing me. I was really craving a good sandwich at lunch time and love the vibes there on a sunny day, so I gave it another chance and got the turkey (basically a BLT w/ turkey). It was so unfortunately dry and unexciting. If you have that type of (french? Sourdough?) bread- the mayo has to be detectable. The red onion wasn’t even sliced in normal sandwich slices, it was like - large pieces. And the amount of turkey on there is like a caveman portion. I had to ask for some more mayo to get some flavor going. It was sadly just so not satisfying.

How it could improve: Better bacon (maybe it needs a new rub, to be a little crisper, maybe a maple bacon- just something with more flavor), better bread- maybe something great from a good bakery, herb mayo is just ok, maybe sundried tom spread? Better cheese, it’s just melted cheddar I think. Doesn't add a bright or interesting flavor (in my opinion). Thinner pieces of red onion and tomato.

I feel like a turkey sandwich is so simple, yet hard to find a good one. I personally LOVE Larchmont wine and cheese turkey sandwiches the most, best in LA (to me!).

Again it’s a shame to write because I LOVE the atmosphere, the staff is actually KIND and friendly and welcoming. They all smile and greet you and seem to enjoy their jobs. The people there love to hang out and work on laptops. It’s just a fun vibe.

Hoping for a little kitchen refresh or mix up so I can become a regular!

Ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich a fried chicken sandwich and some fries. Whoever took our order told us to wait outside. After about 2 minutes a service worker came out and notified us that they completely forgot about the fried chicken sandwich. We said that's okay. Then they finally brought out our order we had to leave so we took it to go. 5 minutes later we are home eating a pretty sad meal...

The bahn mi sandwich was a soggy mess, the fries were cold and soggy and the chicken sandwich was a sad dry mess. Overall a pretty poor experience.
