About The Ppong Korea town

The Ppong Korea Town is a popular spot for Korean Chinese food, especially known for its seafood jjambbong and black bean noodles. The seafood jjambbong is highly praised for its delicious, flavorful broth with a smoky, mildly spicy taste that isn't overly hot. The noodles are freshly made, hot, and have an exquisite texture, making the dish a standout. The black noodle (jjajjangmyun) is well-balanced, savory, and creamy, considered by many as one of the best in Ktown. The tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) is reported to be hot, crispy, and fried in rice flour, providing an extra crunch, and is enjoyed even without sauce. The shrimp fried rice is also recommended, served alongside the noodles and jjambbong.

While the menu is somewhat limited, the quality of food compensates for it. The restaurant is clean, with friendly staff, and offers convenient ordering through a kiosk. However, parking can be challenging, especially during lunch hours, with street parking often metered and limited. Some reviews noted that the service might be less attentive and the English spoken by staff is limited, but the overall experience is positive, with many considering it a hidden gem. Customers appreciate the authentic flavors, large portions, and the chance to enjoy a delicious Korean Chinese meal. Overall, The Ppong Korea Town is a highly recommended destination for flavorful, satisfying dishes in a casual setting.

Spicy comfort food! Felt like my hangover was gone after eating it but I didn't even drink the night before lol. I went here with 2 friends and we all loved the food! The beef noodle soup was so big I couldn't finish it. Too bad I couldn't take home the left overs because I had to go somewhere after 🙃. Definitely coming back! The server made sure we enjoyed the food, maybe he was the owner nor sure but we had a great lunch!
Friendly owner, large portions, and delicious
