Cool food hall with aviation theme. It’s great for kids as it has a large play area with plenty of seating for parents. There are various counters that you can order from (you pay first) including tacos, fried chicken, and more. We tried the chicken and waffle and order of tacos. There’s a self-service water station. Plenty of seating indoors and it looked like they had areas for private group events too. The food was solid and it was a convenient spot to go to after picking up my friend from LAX.
I really enjoyed the event I attended at The Proud Bird. There was ample parking and the food was very good. They put plenty of food on your plate, so bring your appetite with you. The staff was very attentive to our needs regarding the table. It's a lovely location to hold an event or just have a great dinner.
I cant believe this place still exists! I'm so happy it does. They have a few cool warbirds in the parking lot and a couple out back too. The new food court with the choice of food and the bar is AWESOME.
The young lady by the name of Ciara is a sweetheart. I promised that I would give her a good review several weeks ago when I attended a Job fair that was held at the establishment. Good customer service can be hard to come by at times and I truly appreciate the good service I do receive whenever I I encounter it. I had a really challenging day so the good energy and customer that Ciara gave was much appreciated.
a waste of $50.00
Interresting for the history ... food is not bad or great just mediocre ....
The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It's like throw the rock and hide the hands. Not cool. Get it together!
I've never actually eaten at this restaurant before. My mother was going there with a group of people and I asked her if she would get me something To Go. So the service & the atmosphere experience was all on her. She enjoyed it all.
She ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Loaded Tater Tots for me. The Tater Tots were great. The chicken sandwich on the other hand was burnt & I didn't taste any heat. I was hungry & I don't believe in food waste if it's still edible; but it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Based on this Takeout experience, I don't know when I'll want to have a Dine-in one.
In the photo it looks like the chicken has sauce on it, it doesn't, that's the mayo sauce from the bread. Sorry for the bitten sandwich but that's the only way you'd see inside.

UK plane geeks visited late September and wow can I say this is probably our favourite place to plane spot and chill out.
This establishment is made for all. The museum side for people interested in military and the history (this goes upstairs as well) Play area outside for the children (sorry adults were not allowed on it!! ?) nice big bar. Lots of old planes and seeing a DC3 is absolutely incredible, it’s a sight you can’t get bored of.
We stayed in LA 17th to the 27th of September and didn’t discover this place until the 21st. We literally came back every day other than 2 days. 27th we were heading home and one day we landed from Phoenix late at night! Otherwise we would be here!
Food is extremely good. Skin on fries is a personal favourite. A few of things I add was the BBQ Burger, the chicken salad, and The pizza with the beef brisket on. Wow and wow it’s incredible! The sofas also have so many options and all the flavours actually give you the flavours like vanilla sodas.
Added extra for people with Buggys/strolers of if you have a disability. Ramp access into the building, viewing the planes as well as coming into the food court. This place caters for literally everyone!
Only niggle is that it doesn’t stay open as long midweek! Otherwise we’d stay until it shut then as well! Nice big car park friendly staff. This is Thee spot to go to if you haven’t already.
For the aircraft geeks like myself. Great landing photos. You can see what’s coming in far side. Can just about full frame widebodies with a 500 lens. Can distinctly tell the different airlines.
Thank you guys ?? brilliant establishment will definitely be back!

This is a fantastic place and all the other reviews are correct. We had the brisket and it was delicious. Saw some people eating cornbread and that is a special order from the bar. It is a bit weird the first time to order food from the first order kiosk all automated. Then order drinks from the bar as a separate order and tab. Food pick is mostly on your own to pickup. Then take your food and drink to the window or better yet outside and enjoy food and watch airplanes land right in front of you. We are so close to the planes landing I can see faces in the windows. The outside patio is amazing. It is free for all seating so grab what you can. There are several pic nick tables and a few big fire pits to sit at. Kindly clean up your trash when done eating. Also outside is a play area for kids and a nice display of historic airplanes on static mounts. There are already hundreds of photos posted of this place so enjoy them.

You go there for the view and definitely NOT for the food.
Undercooked potato waffles, kids portion of fried rice is one dollar less than the adults portion with 0 vegetables insight.
Salmon teriyaki includes a handful of uncooked carrots and some canned pineapple. Fish was nicely seasoned the rice underneath too plain.
Playground is spacious and safe, the view of the planes is amazing.
Vegetarian options: Not much to choose from. (Cheese pizza, one salad, one veggie burger and jalapeño poppers)
Parking: Plenty of spacious parking spots available.
Kid-friendliness: Great playground.
