Town Hof & Thanks Chicken is a casual spot that offers fairly good food with a weeknight happy hour from 5pm-7pm for soju and bottled beer. The rosé mala ddeokbokki was an interesting try, but the plain rosé or classic options may be preferred. The interior is a little lacking in charm, but it's a fine place for casual drinking and eating. Thanks Chicken in Ktown LA is open nightly from 5pm to 2am, satisfying late-night Korean Fried Chicken cravings. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed, with prompt service and helpful staff recommendations. The restaurant offers a variety of Korean Fried Chicken options, including the fried chicken, sweet and spicy, habanero garlic chicken, and honey. All of these flavors are very good, with the original having a great fried exterior and the option to add some of the rose mara sauce from the rice cake to spice it up. The sweet and spicy chicken has a light spice, more sweet with a syrupy coating, while the habanero garlic chicken is spicier if a piece of habanero pepper is included, but otherwise an alright choice. The honey chicken is sweet, with a very nice syrupy coating. Customers can also enjoy other Korean dishes like Seafood Creamy Pasta, Pork Belly Kimchi Tofu, and Honey Butter Potato Chips. A notable dish is the rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen — a mouth-watering plate of rice cake, fish cake, glass noodles, and ramen coated with creamy and spicy rose mara sauce, perfect for sharing with a small group. The rice cake and fish cake are chewy, and the glass noodles are fun to slurp up. Adding ramen was a good choice, as there was plenty of sauce left to soak up, even some leftover to add to the fried chicken. The seafood pancake features small bite-sized pieces of calamari and other seafood, though it can fall apart easily because of the green onion slices holding it together. Service is fast, and staff are quite patient taking orders, with a call button installed on the table for attention. The interior has a retro 90s South Korean vibe with brick walls, oversized bench seats, and K-pop music playing in the background. Parking is adequate with enough above ground spaces. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends craving Korean-style fried chicken. The fried chicken is so good, especially with the hot and spicy sauce that some customers have licked the foil clean. The chicken is crispy and succulent, and the staff are very kind, even giving extra radishes and wet wipes, making the experience even better.
