Wanted to try new place with lunch the tacos were decent . The nachos on the other hand barely had any meat or pico de gallo and mostly covered in beans. They have a very limited selection of salsas and think the food is overpriced. On a positive note, at least they do validate parking!

My friend and I were very excited to eat here. She was a big fam of Trejo's Tacos on Brea and thought it would be cool to check out this location. The tacos were decent, definitely not worth the price paid for them. For six tacos, chips and salsa and a coke the total was around $40. My friend and I didn't even touch the salsa because it didn't taste good at all. Like I've never had such bad salsa. The vegan options were decent. But would I go back? Probably not. I'll have to give the one on Brea a try since they have good reviews. But I definitely would recommend this location to any of my friends.

Stopped off when I was at USC. The woman working there was great. I asked for some suggestions and she suggested the spicy shrimp burrito. It was delicious and filling, not too spicy. I would def go there again. I've heard about his places and was glad i finally got to try it.

I brought my high school students here for dinner during an intensive training at Annenberg. Months before, I told my students about this restaurant, and they were looking forward to it, as they are all fans of the actor's work. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food (and horchata) was absolutely delicious and was brought out super quickly. The lady who helped us was friendly and professional. Amazing customer service. Great, relaxed atmosphere for us to decompress after a hard day of classes. And we loved the merch! Thanks!

My cousin and I went in for a quick bite to eat. The vibe is great the food amazing we were on our way to a concert and remembered this hidden little gem. I had the Steak Asada tacos and it was mouthwatering and their salsa is fantastic. A little bit pricey I must add. The tacos all came out great we ordered a variety, its a bit pricey but they are a little larger than your regular taco from elsewhere. The guy working at the front counter seemed like he didn't want to work there. He was sorta nice but not that helpful. if your new, it's like you should already know what you want when you come in. Parking: Its LA What do you expect... Small, cramped and oh yeah valet in their own parking lot if you cannot find any parking. Atmosphere: Clean and nice lighting outside, small tables inside not much seating. Happy Eats

Hellooooooo people! So this is my first time ordering Postmates from this location, and I have to say that I am very impressed! My order was placed in a timely fashion and prepared quickly. With it being my first time, I was unsure about the salsas that my meal came with. "MELISSA" was amazing. She provided me with great customer service. Very energetic, and caring of my needs. We need more people like you girl!!! Best, Brooklynn

Swapping out his #machete for meat cleavers, #badguy Danny Trejo has taken his #moviestar aggression to the kitchen--offering up some #killer tacos in a slick new taqueria off of #LaBrea and #Olympic. Upscale #taco #thuglife! Limited menu for their soft launch (check out their daytime hours) includes this bad boy--super tasty, finely shredded #pork shoulder (could use a smear of #guac) and totally different and delicious juicy #friedchicken wrapped in lettuce. They were out of #brisket so we'll be back! #Grandopening coming soon. #staytuned #tacos #LAlife #discoverLA #tacosforlife #tacolife #trejostacos #thetacotour

Although it was empty when we got there, the tablets were not clean. we ordered tacos and a quesadilla. The food was okay, the tortillas were semi cold, the meat was also semi cold. Then, the other part of the order was given to us after the people who order after us were given their order. The rice was kinda hard and tasted like Costco rice. The quesadilla on the other hand, was warm and can tell was actually freshly made. We might give it another try but at another of the branches.

They revamped their pricing scheme recently and, while still a little high, far more reasonable.

Curiosity brought me to Trejo's Tacos. I had my doubts, but food was surprisingly good and flavorful. For me, It's more Californian than traditional Mexican, I think. I can't recall any joints with a specific Hollywood actor name attached to it, but this one actually works. And I like Danny Trejo. The recognizable "bad hombre" in any movie. I particularly like him in "Heat" and "From Dusk Till Dawn". I went for a couple of tacos at Trejo's. I opted for the carnitas and beef barbacoa as they are "Danny Recommended." And wow, they are huge and loaded! Both are equally delicious and flavorful. Mine came with a huge chunk of barbacoa which I just ate on its own using a fork. The carnitas was just perfect I think, as it was tender and not overly salty like usual. Some may get repelled by the idea of carnitas tacos having pineapple chunks in it. But hey, it works for me. Why did I say it's more Californian than traditional Mexican? I asked for sour cream and the girl said "Sorry we don't have sour cream, we only have Chipotle Cream" And the chipotle cream turned out to be pretty good as well. It simply works. I had the option of washing down my tacos with Horchata or Trejo's Cervesas. Honestly, I was tempted to have the beer just because it has Danny Trejo's face on it. But I opted for the horchata instead. And OMG it was so good. Creamy and slightly different (in a good way) than traditional horchata. It's sprinkled with cinnamon which stomped me for a bit as I couldn't figure out what it was. I know it was cinnamon but it was chocolate'y and not overly sharp. Very mild. Later on I found out why this horchata was slightly different - it is made with almond milk. Aah right, I completely forgot I'm in California

Then, the other part of the order was given to us after the people who order after us were given their order. The rice was kinda hard and tasted like boxed rice. The quesadilla on the other hand, was warm and can tell was actually freshly made. We might give it another try but at another of the branches.

Service was great but if you want real tacos street tacos are much better and not $5 each.

The surf and turf burrito is a must have. Steak isn't overly cooked, and the shrimp is so deliciously seasoned. It is just the perfect steak and shrimp burrito. Street Parking is terrible. But the hassle is worth the food. Definitely a recommendation for those wanting surf and turf.

So pissed off!! Awful experience will never go to this location again. Food and service is better at LaBrea. They got my order completely Wrong, the wait was extremely long and I was the only person there. Since it was the end of the night they threw s*** together. Even tho order was wrong the food was disgusting . Whoever managers this location needs to have a conversation with the staff tonight. Such a great disappoint compared to my better experiences at La Brea location .
