Hey, is the Overlook closing? Or are you renovating? I went by today to have brunch and you were closed. It looked deserted except someone was inside. But when I called out they didn't respond. I hope you aren't closing, that would be a real bummer. Will you let us know?

Fun place to unwind and for happy hour. There's so much room outside. Perfect for a big group. They have a full bar, and they're open late.

Really amazing tacos during taco Tuesday. Their ambiance/restaurant set up could use some work. It’s anything but cohesive and kind of a mess. It takes away from what could be an amazing local spot. But the food was great and I’d come back for the tacos.

Really good tacos. I can't attest to the standard ones you would find at a taco truck like carne asada tacos, but the fish and shrimp one I had was really delicious. I kinda figured that even if the standard ones were good it wouldn't be as good and cheap as a taco truck so I opted for the ones you don't normally find at said trucks.Given that, and especially on taco Tuesday where it's $3/taco, it was really up to par.Would return again!

Giving her a good ol 5 because it's my favorite place , or more of a special place. I'm talking about when it was Trophy's. Anyways , this place still has a freaking solid happy hour and I'm giving it more business. You should too. The chefs are awesome, fries are honestly on par if not better than McDonalds too with the sauce and that's saying a lot. I also love their quesadillas. I only drink spicy margaritas and beer which they both do right.

Would give no stars if I could! The service was terrible - we were served incorrect orders without apology, the vegan tacos (marked on the menu as Vegan Tacos with black beans, corn rice and avocado, came with cheese at first despite being clearly marked vegan on the menu and they were just tortillas filled with frozen mixed vegetables (no black beans only Lima), the Baja fish tacos which were marked gluten free were actually breaded and when we asked the owner he said they were beer battered and tried to claim beer is gluten free even though it isn’t.In summary, the menu is incorrectly marked with gluten free and vegan marking seemingly randomly, the owner and wait staff were unapologetic about the mistakes, and the food did not come as described.

**DO NOT TRUST MARKED MENU**Evening started out strong with good margaritas but quickly went downhill.Members of our group have Celiac disease and ordered the Baja Fish tacos (marked gluten free). They came out fried, and when we double checked with the manager he said it was a “hard question to answer”. He said they were beer battered but “almost all of our beers are gluten free” which is 100% false. Later on, people have gotten sick, likely due to false labeling on other items.I don’t normally post reviews of any kind but felt obligated to warn anyone with dietary restrictions to tread carefully.

Good happy hour. 4-7 daily. Lots of seating inside and outside. Lots of TVs. So it's a good spot to watch a game with friends. The food is pretty good for bar food. Good for soaking up the booze. There's street parking on Hyperion but you might have to walk a block or two.

This is the best place to watch all the games this football season my friends and I have been coming here Sundays Mondays and Thursday for football and the food is amazing the staff is awesome and the atmosphere is so great! We've been looking for a long time for a neighborhood sports bar and haven't been able to find anything we all agreed on til this place!!

Good happy hour. 4-7 Daily. Highlights are the $6 margarita, $6 drafts, and food specials. Came in after work with a friend. Inside has plenty of seating. Lots of TVs over the bar. There's also a big patio in front with a few TVs so this is a great spot to watch a game with friends. Weekdays are pretty chill but it can get pretty packed on weekends for football or other big games. The happy hour food was pretty good. We liked the southwest chicken rolls, wings, and tacos. Can never go wrong with fries. We also tried the calamari, but that was just ok, so you can probably skip those. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking on Hyperion but you might have to walk a block or two. Add Overlook to your happy hour list.

Don't "overlook" this spot! My girlfriend and I came from Montebello after searching for some bars in the LA area. It's MLB All-Star Weekend, so we figured we'd catch the Dodgers-Angels game near Dodger Stadium; it didn't disappoint. They had several TVs above the bar top overlooking Hyperion Ave and four TVs in the corner that made up one larger TV. For food, having already came from dinner, we tried the pork chorizo and chipotle chicken tacos, the former being my favorite. The meats were flavorful and the tortillas were handmade, too, giving them an authentic taste we've become accustomed to living on the east side of LA. They had a good selection of beers on tap, my favorite being Blue Moon. My girlfriend loved the guava and passion fruit margaritas so much she alternated between the two drinks before finally committing to the passion fruit option the rest of the night. This sports bar was just what I was looking for on a Friday evening - laid-back, good food, better drinks. Cheers!
