The thick pork bone and fish soup has a deep umami flavor and a slightly smoky taste which is unique. A very good experience.

Catching up with a friend and friend’s mom!
We came here to grab dinner.
I had initially gotten lost in finding the restaurant since they moved to two new temporary locations that haven’t been updated on Google Maps. We went to the green Anne one. Expect to be on the wait list for a little while since seating is limited; however, be reassured the staff are doing their very best to ensure customers eat well and do not linger for too long out of respect for all people.

Friends and I have ordered the following:
*Tsukemen Ramen
*Spicy Chasu Tsukemen Ramen
*Spicy Chasu Ramen
* Seiken Aomori Apple Juice

I’ve come to enjoy the Tsukemen ramen for the ability to decide the ratio of soup and noodles you eat every time you take a bite. The noodles can’t get soggy over time because they are separated. It is also easier to take to-go.

We’ve noticed you pay a few extra dollars for a generous serving of Chasu - if you like Chasu, it is worth while. There are a few slices of pork in the broth if you just get the regular Tsukemen or ramen.

The delightful highlight has to be the apple juice - it tastes sweet, fresh, and seems to incorporate some apple pulp! It’s not your regular American apple juice.

We thank the waiters for their patience as I’ve asked for to go boxes and straws. They clean up after you quite speedily, just to gently remind you there are other people waiting.

If you get to sit near the bar area, it is a treat! You get to see how the ramens are made and how they prepare the bowls.

God bless you all!

It seems as though the menu has changed at this location, this location is open despite the Google maps location saying that it is temporarily closed. It seems as though the noodle bar of the same name across the street, that is getting renovations, has moved over to this annex location and that the annex menu is on pause. My partner and I had both the spicy chashu Ramen, and the chashu Ramen, which are both tonkatsu bases. While the soup was nice and hot and the chashu was delicious, the broth could have been seasoned more delicately and with more flavor and salt. I genuinely hope to come back when the annex menu returns, as I’ve seen that this is their highest reviewed Tsujita location for flavor. This restaurant is in need of an update and they should start with the bathroom, it’s not dirty per se it’s just really well worn.

Waiting patiently for the delicious Tsujita Annex menu to return, but ***** nonetheless.

Open Annex again! I walk by every week and am disappointed. It’s so much better than the original recipe they are offering right now. I will change to a 5 star review when it does

One of the best ramen’s in LA. The vegetarian broth for the ramen was too good!

PLEAAAAAASEEEE bring back Tsujita Annex!!! They relocated Tsujita Artisan to Annex’s location while doing renovation and temporarily closed Annex. It’s been a few months and they kept postponing the reopening date. I really miss Tsujita Annex 🥹 Will give this a 5 star once they reopen.

When can I get my Annex back??? When? Please give me my favorite ramen!!!😫

If the Annex was open I would give this place 5 stars. The Annex has been my go to ramen spot in LA for 12 years. Unfortunately they are still not back due to renovations, and the menu has been the Tsujita Artisan menu, which has also changed terribly over the years.

I would say that I love the robust flavors, generous portions, and great service the Annex provides, but I cannot at the moment. I am always greeted with the vague answer by staff who are unable to tell me when the Annex menu is coming back, and sound not too friendly over the phone.

If the Annex does come back, this rating will change. If not I will unfortunately have to look elsewhere for great ramen 😔

I had an amazing experience at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle Annex! From the moment I walked in, Juan and Juan made me feel right at home. Their friendly and attentive service truly elevated my visit-they were quick to offer recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal.

The tsukemen here is absolutely top-notch-the broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles have the perfect texture. I tried the Chashu Tsukemen and was blown away by the generous portions and the depth of flavor in every bite. Juan and Juan checked in just the right amount, making sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive.

The vibe at Tsujita Annex is lively and welcoming, and you can tell the staff takes pride in delivering a great experience. Even with the restaurant’s popularity and the usual lines, Juan and Juan handled everything smoothly and with a smile. I left feeling completely satisfied and can’t wait to come back.

If you’re looking for incredible ramen and outstanding service, ask for Juan and Juan-they’ll make your visit memorable!

When will they reopen?

I hate to write this review, but Tsujita Annex is not the same as before.

My partner and I have lived in Sawtelle for the last two years, so we regularly go to Annex vs. the regular Tsujita for their bolder, more garlicky favorable broth. We've always loved their peppered bean sprouts and portion sizes as well. Unfortunately with the regular Tsujita closed across the street for refurbishment, it seems like the owners have brought over the regular menu and made drastic changes. The portion sizes have shrunk, costs have gone up (understandable with inflation), but more importantly, the new menu completely overhauls and rids all the original, bolder Annex flavors.

We're sincerely hoping things will change back when the regular Tsujita reopens again. Otherwise, we unfortunately will not return or recommend Annex to friends/family if they're looking for flavorful tsukemen.

The tsukemen was little too garlicky for me, but the tonkotsu was pretty good. Right amount of savoriness and fattiness. I like how the place is easy to get in and get out quickly.

Annex dry style is the way underrated and only available at this location. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
