Urth cafe is a really cool urban niche on the border of the LA art district with food you might not expect. Brisk and crowded but inviting and quick with a variety of the southern Calif foodie options.
Remember not to look up when the birds pester you.

I had an awful experience at Urth Caffé. I called in an order, and not only did they give me the wrong item, but they also forgot the salad I had ordered. When I politely brought it to the staff’s attention, the girl at the counter rudely insisted I ordered the wrong thing, which was a complete lie. She didn’t apologize for the mix up or the missing salad. Instead, she charged me an extra dollar just to fix their mistake!
To make things worse, Jorge, the manager, was no help at all. He didn’t even bother to assist or make things right. The service here is rude, unprofessional, and I will never be coming back. Absolutely disappointing.
Amazing coffee and food, we ordered some pizza and a panini wow it was amazing 10/10??

A little busy went during lunch
Loosing one of our favorite places. My wife and I would make a 40 min drive to have breakfast or weekend desserts. In our Visit today, the cashier was impatient when taking our order, and gave us an attitude when we ask about lactose free milk.Sure enough when we got our order everything was wrong, and we where missing a drink. When we ask the cashier he started giving us same attitude. Funny enough we where not the only guest that had issues with this guy. I don't understand how the Urth Caffe would hire a cashier that has no costumer service experience, and simply does not care.

We got a mosquito in the coffee and a hair on the bread, be careful, this is the second time we have hair on the bread. We will not return, much less recommend it.

All the staff is very professional and friendly food is amazing except for their Manager they have in this location..very rude and disrespectful..it was our first time there today and it was very hard for him to explain to us the difference between 2 plates, he Hope he fixes his attitude because it makes customers feel very uncomfortable ?
Not another cafe. They should probably remove this listing. It’s only just the one!

The place looks impressive as does the savouries and pastries on display. But it’s just about okay and way overpriced. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and could barely taste the bacon or the cheese.
4 stars because the flourless chocolate cake purchase was a huge mistake. It just tasted dry, bad and did I mention dry? ? who thought it was a good idea? ?

A chic neighborhood bakery with a welcoming environment that's offers than just pastries.Food tasted delicious and comes out with a great presentation. Pizzas, sandwiches, soups are just a small sample of the food options this cafe offers. The portions are quite large as the family size salad felt enough that it could feed four adults. Meals had feel that they were prepared with fresh ingredients.Food is ordered at the counter and brought to your table (self seating). Our order was brought out in intervals and unfortunately our food got a bit cold as we waited for the rest of our party had their meals.Bakery items look amazing. Plenty of options. Plenty of seating both inside and out. Outside seating was accentuated with heating towers to keep the environment warm and comfortable. Restrooms were clean. The cost is on the expensive side. This cafe has a feeling more like a Corner Bakery (if you are familiar).
Parking: Parking is on the street. There wasn't any parking available. Note several eateries share this street.

Food isn’t amazing per se, but it’s definitely comfort food!! Kinda like a home cooked meal and you’re an okay chef. I still love the place nonetheless but it’s homey atmosphere and it’s chill Sunday vibes.I also love their matcha boba and their chicken taco salad!!
We’ve eaten here everyday during our trip to LA. Although there’s been a long line everyday we’ve gone, the staff do a great job of moving along quick! There’s a large variety of food and everything is freshly prepared. We enjoyed the assortment of pastries, the muffins were moist and flavorful and my kids devoured the croissants. I’ve stuck to ordering the huevos rancheros burrito everyday and can’t complain, it’s filling and enough for 2 people.
