I’ve recently moved to LA from Atlanta and due to the Corona Virus it has been really difficult to adjust. I found Vanilla Black through people posting on social media about this incredible coffee shop. I went one time and I was hooked. Not only because the coffee is incredible especially the Layla Latte and the Vanilla Bomb but Vanessa and the rest of the staff are extremely professional and kind and they easily make everyone feel welcome. I say all that to say Thank You for helping me feel welcome in a very new city. I will forever be an everyday costumer.

Some of the best coffee in LA!! I went here for the first time a few months ago and had the best matcha latte! I recently went back and tried their lavender latte and it was delicious!! I live in Highland Park, but I will always make the drive out to VanillaBlack Coffee! :)

Great atmosphere - everyone is here to work, have group meetings or just chill and relax. There's 2.5 sections of the space - one fully indoors where you can order light bites & beverages, one outdoor garden where there are heat lamps, and another alcove space. Love it. Will totally new back.

The cafe is marvelously unpretentious with a beautifully decorated large courtyard for all its patrons to enjoy. You never feel the pressured to leave like you do in some cafes. I remember coming here after getting in a car accident earlier that day and Katrina, the manager, could see I was visibly upset and asked me what was wrong. When I told her, she gave me my coffee on the house! They also give discounts to student and anyone who works in the Mar Vista area, just be prepared to show proof! You can really FEEL the sense of community and genuinely from the staff.

This is my daily morning coffee spot, and it has been shortly after they opened about 2 years ago. I highly recommend because 1) the coffee is great, 2) the team is nice and welcoming. I highly recommend asking for an iced caramel vanilla latte. It's not on the menu, but it's THE BEST THING EVER. <3
