Overall, the food was pretty good. Our sushi rolls were good (except one piece of my roll which had a weird dark spot so I wouldn’t eat it), but my son ordered a steak entree and the broccoli was cold and the beef was just ok. The service was lousy. The service was ridiculously slow — they never even came back to see if my husband wanted another beer or to refill our water glasses.
It was at the end of our visit to Universal Studio. All are hungry and a bit tired. We preferred to sit outside but they were short of hands and could only seat us inside. We had two tables by the front door which provided better ventilation. Service was very good. Food got to us at a reasonable time except the special Hollywood roll for my daughter. This is a sit down restaurant on Universal Citywalk. If you are visiting, it is a decent option for a meal. Sushi and teriyaki mostly. Sushi rolls start at around $6 with specialty rolls around $15. The gyoza starter was pretty good. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon when it was not very busy and there was nobody at the door to seat us for quite a while. Service inside was ok. If you are on the Citywalk and want some Japanese food, it is a serviceable option.
