Had a very enjoyable time at Water Grill. It was a positive experience from start to finish. Our waiter , Chris was excellent in all aspects; service, recommendations, responsiveness, courteous and engaging. The food and paired wine were fabulous. Every dish, from appetizers to desert was delicious. My date and I had a great time dining here.

We went for our anniversary and they made it very special including a card and rose petals in the table. The mussels were so amazing and don't skip their salted bread! The scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked. The monkfish was like butter thought the sauce for the soba noodles was nothing special. The service was lovely and you have to love $5 validated parking in downtown.

Legacy restaurant and still excellent seafood. I went to SM location and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service so I decided to venture in to Downtown zoo to meet some friends for lunch. Hostess was friendly and took us to our table. Location of table was street side next to window but requested change as too many transients walked by and stared at us. Sadly, it's true about downtown. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Deluxe seafood platter was ocean fresh as was everything else. Well prepared and enjoyable. I will be back if City Hall gets its act together.

The staff at The Water Grill were exceptional. Very gracious and helpful. The food was amazing ofc (grilled fish, salads, etc), but the waiter (Denise) was fantastic.

Water Grill has a great reputation and the DTLA location did not disappoint. A 3 minute walk from the Biltmore Hotel makes it convenient if in the area. The menu is extensive and cocktails are creative. Service is efficient. Seasonal items are a good choice to try something different. Wild salmon was the choice this visit. It was cooked to perfection.

Just overall great! Filet was PERFECTLY cooked. The Pino Noir I had was wonderful. Waiter was great! Excellent service. Birthday desert was prime time. It's a 3way cookie wt ice cream. My sister had a seafood dish, it was perfectly seasoned. 👌 whole experience will have me returning next time I'm in LA

Truly amazing night. Our server Kat she was outstanding. I went to the Santa Monica location a few years ago, and this is my first time in DTLA Watergrill. Good ambiance and great service. The food was excellent.

Visited this location on May 30th for lunch and it did not disappoint! The calamari was delicious! My husband ordered the Shrimp Scampi, my daughter ordered the Wild Ross Sea Chilean Sea Bass and I ordered the Cesar Salad with Charbroiled Shrimp added. EVERYTHING was amazing!!! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and to top it off our server was amazing as well!!! I’ll definitely be back!!

We had a good time at Water Grill overall. Front desk was very nice. I came back specifically for the oysters. This time I also got the Mexican White Bass, which was fresh and flavorful. My fiancé ordered the 12 oz filet mignon with Yukon gold potatoes and was happy. My mother in law had the Chilean seabass with gnocchi: the gnocchi was excellent and the fish had a great sear, though the inside was undercooked. To their credit, the staff handled it quickly and professionally by taking it off the bill. Service was a bit slow, likely due to being slightly understaffed and booked solid, but our waitress was kind and as attentive as she could be. The maple cheesecake hit the spot, and they surprised us with an extra dessert for my fiancé’s birthday, which was a lovely touch. A few hiccups, but still a decent experience and worth the return trip!
