I had 8pm reservation. I arrived at 7:40 and checked in and informed the staff I'd wait at the bar. At 8:02 no one came to me to I went to check and was informed a booth (it was identified which booth) was being cleaned and we'd be seated shortly. I looked up a short time later and there was a party seated there. I went back and was told they went looking for me and couldn't find me. Complete lie! At the bar, I was the only Bald man and the only man with a beard - easily identifiable and equally easy to find as I was literally 10ft away. We were then seated in the bar area as no more Booths were available. Atrocious

I loved the cioppino. My friend ordered crab. Both were delicious. Service was very good as well. I would return.

Some dishes are excellent. Some mediocre. I recommend sticking with cooked fish versus raw.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Our server Flauvio was the best. One of my favorite restaurants in LA. Jeff King RIP

What a wonderful experience! The food was superb! The octopus, the lobster, the Brussel sprouts, the Trojan sushi were divine! Our sever was attentive and knowledgeable - such a great experience! We are definitely going back!

Service was good and they were attentive. However, the food was mediocre. Order the sea bass and it was dry. Ordered the filet mignon as well and it was dry. The entrees were salty. The gnocchi was mushy, I ate 2 and left the rest. The sourdough bread was good.

This location was recommended by a friend. The staff that I interacted with were helpful, with good information to create a good dining experience. The sea bass was excellent, as well as the wine that was suggested by the waiter. I would definitely return when in the LA area in the future.

I brought my husband to Water Grill for his birthday. This was his choice because he loves your oysters. He ordered oysters and the cioppino. The oysters were impeccably shucked and tasted amazing. The cioppino, on the other hand, was incredibly disappointing and shockingly terrible. Cioppino is a fish stew. His bowl had a beautiful assortment of dried seafood sitting in a couple of tablespoons of broth. Once the order was dropped in front of him by the food server, no one came by to see if all was okay and if we needed anything more. The waitress said she was busy with a big group. She basically ignored us. My husband had to flag down a bartender to get our waiter so he could complain. Eventually he told the waiter how he would like the dish prepared and they eventually brought it to him the way he requested: with more liquid! With more liquid, the cioppino was good but unfortunately our experience at your restaurant was not good. The wait staff, the food presenters and the chef all under performed. I expect your restaurant to train your staff more professionally. Very disappointing. We've been coming to your restaurant for many years and the disappointment in last night's meal, stung us deeply. The only one who did their job professionally and excellently, was the oyster shucker. He was superb, as always. Kudos to him.

Can never go wrong with water grill downtown, other locations cannot compare. We've been to 2 other locations and the do not compare in quality and flavor of the downtown location.

Water Grill on Grand in Los Angeles is a top spot for fresh seafood and a nice dining atmosphere. They offer a big variety of dishes, and the king crab stands out as delicious, although very expensive. Service is excellent, with attentive and courteous staff. A great choice for a special night out.

The food was amazing. As always. We got a grand shellfish platter that had lots of variety. Unfortunately the service was off last night. They at first brought our main course before our shellfish appetizer. We had to ask 2 different times for tools for the shellfish that should have come with the platter. They totally forgot one of our dishes aside from shellfish. They took a long time to come get my card after the check was dropped. They fixed everything when we pointed out the problems. They also did bring a nice comped birthday cookie thing with a candle. I love the place, the food was great, I love that I can bring my own wine without a corkage fee. Last night's service, just wasn't good.

Our entree was very good. I would have preferred my pasta to be hot. It was warm, however the shrimp was fine. My husband's mahi mahi was very good
