This is a great place. Chicken and fish have a great fried crust, fantastic flavor, and it is spicy. We got the medium and had to have water and milk. It is a instant hot and slow lingering heart. The fry seasoning is tasty with the house sauce.
Tucked gently above Mashti Malone's Ice Cream is the beautiful hot chicken spot Whistlin' Dixie. Walking in, the place was spacious, decorated in black, red, and yellow (the color options of their sandwich buns!). The gentleman who greeted us was kind and patient, considering it was our first time and we had some questions. I tried their fried chicken sandwich and it was crispy, tender juicy. Their seasoning is good as well. They gave a ton of fries which I really appreciated and so it made the combo well worth the money. My only critique here is although the food tasted good I might have gotten a small case of food poisoning after.
