I tried their fried chicken sandwich and it was crispy, tender juicy. Their seasoning is good as well. They gave a ton of fries which I really appreciated and so it made the combo well worth the money. My only critique here is although the food tasted good I might have gotten a small case of food poisoning after.

This is a great place. Chicken and fish have a great fried crust, fantastic flavor, and it is spicy. We got the medium and had to have water and milk. It is a instant hot and slow lingering heart. The fry seasoning is tasty with the house sauce.

The driest, super crusty, and meatless wings I have ever eaten. A huge waste of money.

Tucked gently above Mashti Malone's Ice Cream is the beautiful hot chicken spot Whistlin' Dixie. Walking in, the place was spacious, decorated in black, red, and yellow (the color options of their sandwich buns!). The gentleman who greeted us was kind and patient, considering it was our first time and we had some questions. After comprehending the spice levels, we decided to split two chicks and fries (no spice) with extra Dixie sauce. The guy was there on his own making the food and taking orders. He said it would be 15 minutes, which was just fine :) I appreciate the heads up! The two chicken sliders were beautiful! We got the red buns and they were perfection. The chicken was still well seasoned even without a spice to it, which we liked. The slaw on the sandwiches was light and slightly sweet, which was exactly what the chicken called for. The fries were hella crispy and well seasoned too. The Dixie sauce is, to me, a tangier approach to Chick-fil-a sauce, yet again there's a sweet that compliments the fries. DELICIOUS. I shared the two chicks and fries with my kid, which came out to $15 bucks and some change with tax. In terms of originality in the chicken game, the chicken seasoning sets Whistlin' Dixie apart from the rest - she comes in thick and aggressive

When I go to a place that has 5 starts on yelp I expect 1) exceptional food 2) great customer service 3)uniqueness in their category of food. I sadly only got 1 of the 3 which was customer service. I really really wanted this place to be good but it was just ok. I got combo#3 which comes with 1 fish sando,1 chicken sando and fries. The fish had no flavor inside and was so dry. Cold slaw had no tangy-ness and nothing complemented each other. The chicken was tender but had no flavor just spice. The fries were the best thing out of all. I should've known this place was gonna be bad when I went on a Saturday night and there was absolutely no one. I would never go here again and I wouldn't recommend anyone going either.

Good food. Plenty of flavor in both the chicken and the fish. Fries were good too. Super friendly customer service by the only guy on duty. Appreciate him taking our order, preparing our meal and serving us. Will be back at least one more time.

This place is such a hidden gem. If it's at a better location, it's gonna get a lot more traction. The chicken sandwich is juicy and the dipping sauce is out of the world.

I would give this place 5/5 if they were a little more clean. This one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had. Most of these places add the spice but not the flavor and this spice had delicious flavor. The sauce was sweet and the pickles buttery. The combos are interesting, 2 sandwiches for the price of one? I'm in! But be aware that they only put on strip on each sandwich. This was enough for me but not my husband. Over all great product! Great prices! Spot on decor. But work on that bathroom!

I have been waiting for 20 mis for an order that was supposed to be done in 10 minutes. I am at the counter. There is nobody here. My order seems to be still be hanging on the reel. There is nobody in the kitchen. I already paid. I just want to give up.

I've been a few more times and I unfortunately I have to knock it down a star because of a couple things: 1. there are tiny bones in the fish that come as an unpleasant surprise with some bites 2. the flavor is a little lacking (granted this may just be a personal opinion). the spice they can do, but I found lots of bites filled with excessive powdered seasoning that didn't taste like much. 3. the quality of the fish I wasn't crazy about nor the chicken, it tasted kind of rubbery. It's still decent overall, but not going to be my go-to.

Blows my mind how this place has 5/5 star reviews. My fish burger came with fish bones still attached.. These are about an inch long so thankfully I (think) I noticed it in my mouth before I swallowed it.. But I am feeling something lodged in my throat so I may have to visit urgent care and get an xray. Regarding the food. Come here if you prefer your chicken sliders salty and chewy. Honestly Dave's Hot Chicken is the go-to.

Tough location, I hope they can make it. Really like their hoy chicken. "Medium" was perfect... Heat without overwhelming the flavor.

This place is so good! I’ve been twice. Both times I had excellent service and a very tasty meal. The first time I had a chicken sandwich and the second catfish. I think the catfish is my favorite, but either will definitely do. They do a good job of balancing the spice with a little sweet and the dry rub fried crunch with coleslaw and pickle textures. THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE SPICE. But I like that. Some other hot chicken places are a little weak.
