This was a great find - a very nice interior well thought out and designed - the food isn't what you typically find in a Thai which is a good thing ! The small plates were great and tasty - the dragon balls a must and the pork was as was the lamb delicious! Entrees were great, we had the ground chicken ( spicy) the eggplant and Pad thai were amazing! Drinks are very reasonably priced ! A Great spot will 100% be back and soon .
The atmosphere is beautiful. The food was extremely slow coming out. We had to wait an hour for the food to come after we placed our order and then nothing came out at the same time. I ordered the Panang curry with prawns and the prawns were tough and fishy smelling. The other dishes were good.
It's our first and last time to eat at this restaurant. Server started getting our orders 20 mins after we sat and wait for another 30 mins to get our appetizer and etc. It will take at least total of 1 hr wait just for dine in food. The food was really good though. We saw a lot of TO GO orders and looks like their more efficient for TO GO orders than those people eating inside.

Coup De Thai presents itself as a stylish Thai option in downtown Los Gatos, but our visit left us underwhelmed. The appetizers, such as papaya salad and chicken skewers, were decent, and the basil chicken and Tom Yum soup were solid enough to enjoy. However, the curry and noodle dishes lacked consistency in flavor and presentation, leaving us disappointed with the overall quality. Pricing also felt uneven between takeout and dine‑in, which added to the sense that the experience did not match expectations.
The ambiance is cozy and modern, and the staff were courteous, though service timing varied and sometimes felt inattentive. While a few dishes showed promise, the inconsistencies across the menu made it difficult to recommend wholeheartedly. For us, Coup De Thai ended up being more of a one‑time stop than a place we’d eagerly return to, as the shortcomings outweighed the highlights.

Well this was our go to Thai food but after they expanded the prices that were already high went higher….and quantity went down. They changed the menu completely. Very disappointing! Don’t waste your time

The newly renovated and expanded Coup de Thai is amazing! The perfect place to go for great food, service and ambiance. Good for celebrations, date night or dinner with friends or colleagues. For after dinner, the coconut ice cream in fresh coconut and the jasmine tea with real jasmine flowers were to die for! I can’t wait to come here again!
