CRUST Sourdough Deli (Los Gatos)

Years ago I worked in downtown San Jose across the street from Sourdough Eatery. It has been a legend for decades, serving up warm crusty sourdough filled with delicious sandwich fixings. I have traveled near and far over the last nearly 50 years and have rarely found anything that rivals. Freshly Baked, across from St James Park downtown came on the scene just in time to meet my warm, sourdough cravings while I worked at SJSU. Now I find you, CRUST. Just down the hill and a few blocks from where I lived for 40 years, but alas... I have moved out of the area and discovered you while visiting. I'm here to tell all of you locals, THIS PLACE IS A GEM!! I walked right in today, placed my order and within minutes had in my hands an absolutely delicious warm crusty sourdough sandwich filled with lean pastrami, cheese and the rest that make a perfect sandwich!

So so yummy! Hot pastrami is where it's at, and the bread is incredible! Work your way through the menu to find your favorites ❤️

Food was great. But the manager was amazing. Very professionally welcoming. If I owned a restaurant I would definitely want her as the manager!

I was looking for a sourdough sandwhich and this places delivered ! Amazing fresh soft sourdough bread & incredible sauces & options.

I was particularly impressed with their bacon jam. So so good!! Sourdough dip with roast beef is the way to go if you want this jam… yum!

I ordered a pesto cracked pepper turkey sandwhich. Very delicious. Everything I’m looking for! Knocked it out of the park

Enjoyed the service as well. They made me feel welcomed here. Appreciate one of the owners Ron. He wanted to make sure I was happy with my order and let me try the classic meatball sample. I’ve gotta say I can’t wait to get that next! 100% will be back!

Went here for lunch on a Friday, around 1 p.m. It had just a couple of customers, so no wait time. We shared a pastrami sour dough which filled us up! The sandwich was absolutely fabulous - the bread was freshly baked, lightly crunchy exterior, soft interior, delicious. The meat was great, too. We also picked up an Italian salad, haven't had that yet. At about $ 13 for a six inch 'sub', totally worth it. Nice cosy atmosphere. Would recommend dine in - these sandwiches are best eaten fresh.

This place is absolutely delicious and the staff are super friendly. It’s so refreshing to get a warm vegetarian sandwich with the option of getting impossible meatballs on it. As a vegetarian of 30+ years, sandwich options are often just cheese or avocado. This place takes it to a whole new level. And the sourdough bread is soft and delicious as well. I also am crazy about the lemon cookie. Don’t hesitate to stop here. You won’t regret it. I just wish they would come to Santa Cruz!

First time here and we were greeted immediately upon arrival! The menu was described to us in detail, even considering the temp of the cold sandwiches when prepared on piping hot bread fresh from the oven!
We ordered the turkey and it was LEGIT! The garlic spread gave it and extra flare and the complimentary self-serve pickles were the perfect accompaniment. We're so glad we found this place and will definitely be back again!

We entered ‘Crust Sourdough Deli’ and met Ron, one of the owners. He quickly realized we had the same recognition and appreciation for fine food and could understood how much the best sandwich we had ever tasted (I’m not kidding) would change our lives! After all, can you imagine eating sandwiches all your life only to stumble upon the most delicious, most homemade, most fresh and still warm (freshly baked sourdough right out of the oven) and most mouthwatering sandwich of perfection you’ve ever tasted? Well this is it for me folks! You wouldn’t get this anywhere! Not New York, not Italy, not France…. I believe this sandwich (1. Oven Roasted Turkey) could be the symbol of America’s great sandwich, the one and only! Sadly, I gobbled ours up before I could take a picture of it, however a kind customer, a regular allowed me to take a picture of his hot pastrami sandwich. The salads looked divine and don’t forget to order their special spicy mayonnaise! This fresh baked sourdough is delectable and the freshly baked lemon cookie we shared afterwards thanks to Ron, was like a lemon tart from France baked into a cookie and was absolutely heavenly. This lemon cookie put us both on cloud cookie nine! Driving over and hour to experience ‘Crust Sourdough Deli’ will be worth it and no other sandwich will ever compare! Thank you Ron!

This is my goto deli place now! Sourdough bread is the missing link to a sandwich and CRUST Sourdough Deli used the best bread. The sourdough rolls they use has hard crust which hold the meat and will never mush up.

Friendly and responsive staff, large variety of sandwiches ... all on really good, crusty sourdough bread.
