I love pizza and was excited to try this place, unfortunately it was disappointing to find the pizzas to be kind of soggy. If only they had a crispier crust. This might be a one-off, but one of our pizzas were burnt at the bottom.

They charge tips for takeout…. Ridiculous
Ross Bree and crew are so creative with the menu options. Everything is deliciously crafted with professionalism and detail. Repeat customer for sure!

Oak & Rye has good food at Los Gatos prices. The pizza is always solid. The crust is terrific, but pizza dough doesn’t ≠ pretzel dough. Guess what the “pretzel” is? Pretzel-shaped pizza dough with watery beer cheese “sauce.” Not so good.
The service is uninspired, and that’s being generous. You notice it upon entering the space, because the host/hostess doesn’t seem particularly motivated to acknowledge you. Be prepared to stand in awkward silence until eye contact is made.
The place has always had a shabby chic vibe which has now decayed to plain old run down. The chairs are wobbly. There are stains on the ceiling and walls. The broken patio door slams shut with an alarming BANG—constantly. The place needed a complete makeover at least 5 years ago. If you must go, do so after dark. Otherwise, sit outside if the weather is nice. But be warned, it is a communal tables are in use.
Although the pizza is tasty, it is not a good value from an experience standpoint and sadly, we won’t be returning. It’s too bad, because we used to bring out of towners in addition to enjoying it ourselves. The owners just don’t seem to care based on dozens of other reviewers commenting on the same issues. I hope they will bring Oak & Rye back to its former glory someday.

Got the pizza. It was great, if a little charred. Service was great.

The food is delicious, the price is a little bit high, we were more than 6 people so they added 20% tip automatically, the service was not so great, they forgot some of our orders.

A very nice place where I didn’t know about since last week. The food was great. The appetizers were also nice and innovative

If you don’t want our business you should tell us when we walk up. Rather than make us sit there until we figure out on our own that we’re not going to get served.

What a mess of a place. When we arrived, the host completely ignored us for nearly two minutes while doing paperwork — no eye contact, no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing. It was awkward. She eventually walked away without saying a word, then finally returned and acknowledged us.
After being seated, we waited over 10 minutes with no service. We watched as multiple nearby tables — even those seated after us — were being helped. Still, no one came by. It got so ridiculous that I actually called the restaurant from my seat just to see if that would get someone to acknowledge us. It didn’t.
We finally decided to leave. And, of course, right then the server showed up — not to take an order, but to clear the table in record time. Seems like the only thing they’re efficient at is flipping tables, not serving customers. What a joke of an experience.

Oak and Rye has the best pizza in the Bay Area by my standards. I love the chewy crust and delicious toppings. Every time is a hit!

Really frustrating experience. The staff seemed overwhelmed or just completely uninterested. We sat for a long time before anyone took our order, and when they finally did, they got it wrong and never checked back. It felt like we were bothering them just by being there. The pizza was fine, but not worth the hassle.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was rough. Service was beyond slow—we waited ages for everything, including the check. Our server seemed annoyed we even showed up. No refills, no updates, no basic courtesy. The vibe was chaotic and unwelcoming. Honestly, I left more stressed than when I came in.

The service here was truly awful. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to get menus, and our server barely acknowledged us the entire time. Our order took forever, and when it finally arrived, it was wrong and no one seemed to care. No apologies, no effort to fix it. We felt like an afterthought the entire night. Definitely won’t be coming back.
