The food was beyond good. Everything was fresh and hot . Friendly service, all my questions were answered, and my order was made correctly. I have a picky son . That doesn't happen often. Our order was done fast and brought to us with a smile.The grilled chicken sandwich has great flavor and thick and juicy . The bun was soft and easy to chew. The fries were amazing. The trip sandwich was excellent soft and tender. The bbq sauce was so good wish I would have got a side of it and I loved the macaroni salad. I definitely recommend this place.

This is the type of place I dream about encountering on the roadside. I'm far from expert in BBQ but I think this place is BBQ done just right. Stopped in for a super tasty and satisfying lunch here recently thanks to yelpers pointing it out and definitely plan to be back. I was looking for the smoked turkey sandwich I saw in yelp reviews and photos of the menu. Turns out they don't smoke turkey anymore but the nice lady at the counter let us know they replaced it with smoked chicken and the sandwich typically comes with avocado and bacon so all was not lost and-- OMG the smoked chicken was so good! I don't even typically love the taste of smoke in my food (one reason why I'm not an expert in bbq) but to me this is what smoked should be like! So, so tender with subtle smokiness. Zero dryness whatsoever. And the roll and everything else in the sandwich was super fresh! My companion also raved about the Tri-tip French dip. French fries handmade and cut to my preference in thickness- not too skinny- enough substance to taste the potato goodness! The best traditional macaroni salad I've ever tasted! Just right amount of mayo, fresh little celery bits, pasta shells cooked just right. If all bbq joints were like this maybe I WOULD be an expert in bbq tasting. Attention to detail in all of our food really showed. We don't usually eat dessert but were very tempted by the trays of fresh homemade fruit cobbler on the counter. OK I know I've used the words fresh and just right a lot in this review but that should be a sign. Looked like they have a brick smoker making the magic happen that you can see from inside and from the road. Since it's a small, unassuming and aptly named roadside kitchen, no space for seating inside but they have a nice little back patio nook surrounded by greenery for enjoying your meal outside and of course there's takeout option. Also of note: cash only with atm machine conveniently located inside. Also convenient is their literally roadside location on 53 close to the intersection with 29 between KFC and Fosters Freeze. Look for the BBQ Burgers and More sign and stop in for a taste or you are missing out! Thanks to the good people who put in the time, care and effort to provide this precious resource of quality fresh homemade food to the public! Keep up the great work it is so appreciated but I'm sure with all the rave reviews they already know that

I had the House Burger and patatoe salad . My dog had the Puppy burger . So far , the burgers are the best around the lake . The meat , buns , are ordered special by Carl , the owner , french fries are hand chopped and who ever is making the patatoe salad , home made , is doing a fabulous job .

Danny's has the best smoked ribs in town, Tri tip and chicken also available that has been cooked in the smoker, and his sauce is great, I think it's better than Kinder's sauce. Many sides available, also todays Cobbler fresh baked.
