“It was a very hot day and I went through the drive-through window and she saw that I had my little miniature poodle and she offered to give her some water and maybe a little bit of whip cream in a cup. I thought that was so awesome. she was so friendly.”

“The Meat-a-tarian pizza was amazing, probably the best meat pizza we've had anywhere. They really piled on the toppings! My carnivorous family was very happy. Combo was also excellent. Friendly service and our order was ready on time. We're looking forward to our next pizza at DJ's when we visit Lower Lake again.”

“Nutshell: Great tacos (I had Asada & Pastor). Very nice lady working the truck (trailer really), and atmosphere? can't beat it depending on what your looking for.
Full Meal Deal:
Driving back from Clear Lake, I was starving. There isn't much out this way once you leave the lake. So I searched some for a possible "taco truck," and found this gem.
Location. Its located in a small lot with nothing around but small town feel and quiet. There are a few picnic tables nearby which made for a nice spot to observe, drink a Mexican Coke, and eat some tacos. I didn't see a sole. For me, that was ideal driving down the 16. There is plenty of free parking to be had.
Service. The proprietress was kind, helpful, and fast. The truck appeared clean, and was powered by a truck in front. The trailer appears to be there regularly. But it is a trailer. Nothing sexy here, except the food.
Food. I've eaten at 100s of taco truck across California, Arizona, Oregon, and Idaho, and this was a good one. It's mostly tacos, but I recall Tortas as well. There may have been Quesadillas. I like the focus really. I took an Asada, Pastor, and actually an Barria. EACH was excellent. I like Pastor, but not love. This was GOOD Pastor. I wolfed down each quickly, and almost went back for more. Typically street taco flavors/styles with fresh onions and cilantro. Various salsas are provided. I used the green sauce, which had a good kick. The flavors were deep and savory. Really, it was excellent.
Bottom-line. Would I go back? Absolutely, I hope to do just that. But I'm not out that way often, so maybe not. If you find yourself on the 16, hit it. You won't go wrong.”

“From over 30 years experience dining out with Indian as my favorite, this place is the absolute best. Not merely the best restaurant in Lake County, also the best Indian restaurant for a lifetime. I do both dine-in and takeout.
Vegetarian options: Please ask the host”

“One of the best "hole in the wall" places I've been. My exceptionally picky husband loves the Brunch Burger, I love the Tri-Tip sandwich and artichoke dip. The waitress is super friendly, it's got a decent bar selection and we were able to have our pup with us out on the patio. Absolutely worth a stop.”

We've had there breakfasts and there lunch and dinner.all the food has been great.Tonite my husband had me call and ordered a pasta dish, then 10 minutes later asked me to call and charge his order to ribs. They changed the order for me. Now isn't that nice.”

“How do I not have a review here 0.0
Easily top 3 restaurant in Lake County, and you'll often hear me say #1. Deng is amazing at everything she does. Always super nice. Yes, they can be a little inconsistent with their sushi sometimes, but every dish I've ever had here was perfect. I'm definitely biased towards this restaurant, but ask around. I've brought at least a dozen people to this place, and I always get the same reaction. People are blown away at how good the food is. Atmosphere is great, service is great, food is great. Prices have gone up everywhere so won't hold that against them.”
“only went their once before school but the person at the cashier was the sweetest!! And the lime macarons are to DIE FOR!!! definitely coming again.”

“Came into Clearlake for two things, #1 is Cecil's Take N Bake Pizza, because they're the best in the west! ..and #2 is Governor Pantywaist's speech and round table discussion on draining Clear Lake, California's largest natural reservoir by transferring its water to Southern California via the California Aqueduct. Governor Pantywaist claims that the people of Southern California, and it's farmlands deserve the water much more than the occupants of Lake County..Which Pantywaist said is the black sheep of the California counties. Well, I know two things for sure! I like Clear Lake where it is, and Cecil's Pizza is the best in the west!
5 stars all day! ☆☆☆☆☆”

“I see many of the poor reviews are more than a year old and mention price. Yes, price is high but not unreasonable considering quantity. It was a mistake to start charging for chips and salsa but I suspect locals were taking advantage of it. Food here is excellent, especially the breakfast and the carnitas. Carnitas Super Burrito is huge and awesome. Staff is friendly and efficient but they tend not to deliver the bill unless you ask for it.”
