Great vibes as soon as you walk in, I loved going here! They had such a great selection of freshly baked goods. I recommend getting the coffee crumb cake!
the location is pretty, the porsche photos too, the panini very good, the gentleman in the kitchen extra, unfortunately the blonde lady very skinny, she should change jobs, and when her dog does these needs on the terrace when you eat.. I don't give details...
Woman at the counter and another man were rude, similar to the other recent reviews. Confusing/outdated signage on their storefront. The baked good lack the skill and finesse you expect for their prices.
The chx pesto was really good but the service was horrific. When asked for a bag for a sandwich, chips and waters, the owner rolled his eyes. It was, however, his lucky day as I was not there for this event. If I see the owner outside of those four walls, I will give him a chicken pesto tattoo in the forehead, cheek and nose. Can’t believe in the midst of the elites this place can exist. my challenge remains :)
Have been here a few times. Very good sandwiches. The customer services was good too
staff was incredibly rude both times I visited. If I’m going to spend 10 bucks on your stale, dry, pastries, I’d like to at least be greeted with a smile or bare minimum “thank you” after paying.
Very stale and hard red velvet cupcake. Looking at reviews, that blonde woman was the one I got my baked good from. She can be abrasive and should never work in customer service. Will never go back!
Woman working the bakery counter is very rude, actively unwelcoming and makes you not want to spend money in the store. The prices are mislabeled and when I asked for clarity since she charged me more than what the sandwiches was listed for on the menu, she snarked at me and spoke to me sarcastically. Ask prices before you order anything. Sandwiches are good but experience ruined it for me!
Not too friendly. It seems is the only one open there serving food. Long waiting without being greeted. Their sandwiches looks tasty. The food preparer brought the food out for you.
For sometime - twenty years - the owner was - and this is really generous - at best eclectic. And the music was fun. The food, convenient. The deserts were great. Finally, the "NASTY" of the owner just overwhelmed. No. However tempted, I did not deck his nasty behind. Clearly he does not need our money.

I Have PTSD that’s why I have a Service Dog and after what she did it hurts me to even want to go to Malibu Kitchen and it’s hard for me to be around a lot of people that’s why I went there early morning that day and then have her patch that says service dog on her caller. And I don’t want to Deal with that again if I do go in there to get Coffee or get something to eat. How do I let you know I’m coming back to the store
Sandwiches were good, baked goods okay, but women working the check out line needs help with customer service. Very rude and dismissive. This is second time eating here, mainly cause my husband liked the tuna melt, but it will be our last. I read previous reviews and the woman mentioned sounds like who we encountered. I was going to get coffee after my sandwich, but didn't want to give this establishment any more of my hard earned money. Went to Starbucks instead.
Great food choices, locally owned by lovely people. Great outdoor seating!
Middle aged woman behind the register makes Oscar the Grouch look adorable!!! Horrible customer service! And they double down on their ignorance!
Owner of this place is a nice Jewish man and he knows how to make the sandwiches cause he came from New York, with these delicious recipes, to California many years ago. The Jewish owner wasn't there today and so his Mexican, Mexican not Hispanic, employees were making the sandwiches without the attention of the Jewish owner. I couldn't recognize what I was eating, the sandwich I always got from here was that bad. A non Asian person who owns an asian restaurant hires only asian cooks and that's a fact. You want good Mexican food you hire Mexican chefs, the burrito is in their blood, but NEVER ALLOW A MEXICAN TO MAKE YOU ANY UNIQUE EUROPEAN SANDWICHES.
