It was my first time back in Malibu since the fires. Marmalade provided the perfect venue to return. The food was delicious and our waiter was attentive. We will return!
Nice place but outside fences too high. Wrong coffee then eggs not cooked as requested. Crab cake for crab cake benedict spicy and dry English muffin like cardboard. But despite that good portion size and Marmalade Potatoes were good. Drove a long way so it was disappointing
Mediocre food, service super slow.

Marmalade Cafe is a great local restaurant in the Malibu area.
There is a large free parking lot, so no worries finding a spot.
The Marmalade Cafe has a great local establishment that amplifies the Malibu beach vibe.
The menu will amaze you with all the choices but I would recommend you get the cafe burger. This burger is one of the largest in the region.
The staff is courteous, attentive and responsive which adds to the dining experience.
Marmalade Cafe is geared for dining alone, or on a date.

On July 26th, I visited this place with my family for the first time. Food is good, but service is the worst. An old, short, semi bald guy who goes by the name Packy is the rudest waiter ever. We decided to stay because we were really hungry and didn't want to search for another restaurant. At the end, on top of giving us a bad service from the very beginning, he got mad because we didn't tip him and even dared to toss my wife's card on the table in a very disrespectful way. I was very upset, but decided not to make a scene.
Sir, if you want a good tip, earn it by treating your customers with the respect and dignity they deserve. We pay for your salary.
First and last time we visit that restaurant. Worst experience ever.

Me and My husband attended here for dinner: he ordered the salmon, golden mash and asparagus. I ordered the Lamb Chops that were on the menu. Waiter said, well idk why we have lamb chops on the menu we don't sell at this location. Then I ordered the fish tacos. Let me say this, The salmon tasted very old not fresh fish, completely microwaved and not seared. The glaze was watery, the golden mash was box mash one minute quick mash , and the asparagus looked like it was from the can. My fish tacos were burned and fried and cooked in OLD GREASE.
4 years ago I visited this place for breakfast and everything was decent. But now, as we revisited this location in hopes to support them after almost one year after the fires, I was so terribly disappointed. Then on top of that they don't disclose a 2.50% extra surcharge added to your order, and the menu price for my fish taco said 19.99 and the receipt reflected 24.99
just beware of eating here.

$10 for a glass of OJ . Food was mediocre.
Had the tuna asian salad, was ok. Lobster tacos ok. May have been better if my server would have asked me if I needed salt and pepper, hot sauce and also a water without a fly. The male server never told me his name but an older guy with stubble. He asked everyone around me if they were good not once did he ask if I was good. I left my table to pay. Just so he knows wo it is, I tipped him $10.00. As an event manager at a convention center, customer service is always important, you never know who is who. I only came here because my Thai place near Topanga closed down. Skip this place, unless you like bland food and bad service!

We had the waffle with fried chicken in a “syrup sauce”. It was very nice and it had this southern hint of sweet and salty taste. The chicken was juicy and tender but the sauce was very sweet. Altogether was a good experience as they have a wide menu.
The chocolate chip cookie was great as well.
