Clocktower Cellar Reviews
Hi, I was just kicked out of your bar because your bartenders aren’t privy to checking ID’s. I showed Nicole, the bartender with pink hair, my ID and after her looking at it for a reasonable amount of time, called another bartender to look at it. I explained it’s an Arizona ID, which do not have expiration dates. Clocktower Cellar is a restaurant with a basement pub atmosphere, offering a variety of drinks including draft beers, kombucha, cider, and wine. The interior is described as an old, cluttered space that appears clean, with a funky and casual ambiance. The bar has foosball tables, a TV, and a jukebox.
The restaurant offers a "happy hour" with discounts on drinks, but there seemed to be some confusion about the details of the special. Some reviewers mentioned being charged the full price for drinks despite being told there was a special.
The restaurant has a designated parking lot with plenty of spaces during non-peak hours. The bar is known for its "totchos," although the food service hours are not specified.
The staff at Clocktower Cellar are described as no-nonsense and potentially unfriendly, which may be due to dealing with large crowds of tourists.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the restaurant charges $50 automatically to test credit cards when starting a tab, which is then refunded. This may be surprising for some customers.
