The Mammoth Smoke Shack Reviews
The smoked tri-tip is excellent. It is flavorful and tender. We purchased a pound of tri-tip with spicy and regular bbq sauce on the side. We sat out front of the shack and indulged eating our tri-tip on sourdough bread from the local bakery. Our German Shepard enjoyed some free end pieces, thanks to the proprietor. Everyone loved the meat including the dog.

The Mammoth Smoke Shack is a must-visit spot in Mammoth, known for amazing food like tender and juicy pulled pork and mac and cheese. The TriTip and pulled pork sandwiches are extremely delicious, making it one of the top food spots for visitors. Guests can look forward to food truck-style smoked meats served with great service from friendly staff. Many have praised the smoked tri-tip for being super tender and flavorful, while the Mexican pancake, stuffed with juicy pulled pork and melted cheese, is a hit as well. The pulled pork Mac remains a standout with a good mix of tang and creaminess. The highlight is the shakes, particularly the Cookie Monster Milkshake and the espresso shake, which are creamy and full of fruit chunks. The atmosphere includes a small cabana for shade and some tables in the sun, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal despite the busy road. Portions are generous, especially for items like the smoked Tri Tip burrito and quesadilla. The BBQ sandwich is delicious, especially the bread and sauce, but some guests have suggested having extra sauce on the side. Overall, this is a place with chill and funny people working there, providing a unique dining experience for BBQ enthusiasts, and it serves as a great, quick meal option for those heading out for a hike or run down the slopes during snow season.
