I went for dinner on a Monday night, and it was very quiet. The service was great. The food was tasty, and the pricing was pretty good for Mammoth. I had the Cobb Salad and my son had the Shrimp Scampi. Both of us enjoyed it, and would definitely return.

Refused service at 2:24, 46 minutes prior to posted closing time.
No note here or on site of kitchen closing prior.
Worked in food service for several years, never refused a customer prior to posted closing time.
Nice breakfast. We ordered take out at the front desk. Friendly service. Food came out quick. Coffee was hot and good.
French toast was exactly what it was supposed to be.
Oatmeal was hot. Fruit was fresh.
Breakfast burrito with bacon was excellent!
They provided utensils, syrup, butter, creamer, sugar.

Pathetic service!! Very RUDE staff, specially the skinny lady. I feel pity for her that she has to do this job, it mostly feels like she is doing this job unwantedly.
Hash browns were cold and chewy, like made a day ago..
They have a weird policy of charging huge gratuity just for party of 4!!!
If you complain, you will be blasted!!
They will charge you more than the prices specified in menu. Look at my bill attached. They happily charged extra for side od beacon, 2 pankaes (which skinny lady lied that it will be $6).
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, PLEASE GO TO SOME OTHER PLACE..

Meh, but they were open early and I got the calories I needed. Bathroom didn't have hand soap and the server botched my order a bit. I was more troubled by the soap situation....so how are staff keeping clean? I'd try something else next time in rolling through. But in a pinch...

We had the French toast, keto breakfast and omelet. Decent food. Gets a bit crowded. The waitress was very nice

YES , they are open during construction!
I woke up ready for breakfast and this little cafe was ready to serve just that.
I normally eat a large breakfast but I ended up getting a keto style breakfast and a bowl of fruit and that was enough.
I was amazed at the flavor and I asked my meal to be cooked a specific way and they did not hesitate to accommodate.
Service was great and the light music ( country ) played but never was overwhelming, if you are over the touristy spots up in mammoth lakes I recommend checking this little gem out with awesome art pieces decorating the walls and clean tables I was in heaven!

Chicken fried steak was absolutely delicious, so crispy but tender and moist. And the gravy was perfect! Pancakes were also delicious. Service was great very friendly, quick service.

We saw the good reviews so we decided to try for breakfast while visiting Mammoth. The food was not great. We left most of the food on our plates. The hash browns and the bacon were cooked unevenly. Hamburger patty was not cooked all the way. I wanted the meat cooked well and it was pink in the middle.
The only option for alternative creamer is soy milk. They sell it by the glass. So, no coffee if you have a dairy allergy and/or don’t do soy.
NOTE: The waitress brought the check and then and only then (not before we ordered) she informed us that there was an 18% service charge for parties of 5 or more. I looked at the check and the charge was listed as a room fee! Google definition of a room fee is basically renting your table to eat your meal. A dedicated space for large parties. Restaurants use it to cover rental of the space, staffing, etc. They sat us at a table with four chairs and stuck another chair at the end of the table.
The only positive thing was the staff was nice, but you factor in them hiding the room fee - calling it a service charge and not notifying us of it before we ordered…so there you go! We paid to sit at our table and for food that was not very good.

Food was decent. My meal was tasty but not killer. Would eat it again, for sure.
The thing that made me really happy was how bi-cultural/bilingual the place is. The service is very fast and efficient, which I super appreciate, but when the server hit me, a white dude who is literally in the middle of an unwanted move back from years in Latin America, with a "¿Todo bien?" about my meal, that was like a hug from a stranger. More than half of the clientele was Spanish speaking.
Is the whole town like this? Gonna have to vacation here if it is.
