This place is awesome! Was very reasonably priced, and especially for Mammoth! I got 2 glasses of the red Rhone wine and it was fabulous. The two meat and two cheeses charcuterie board was well equipped (honey, tapenade, fruits, etc) and the sandwich seemed quite cheap considering a sandwich at the bakery next door costs more! Overall was super impressed by this quaint bar in town. Lots of red wine on the menu.... For some reason the Google menu was showing only bubbly and white...
I came around 7pm to hang for an hour before closing on a few nights and enjoyed an awesome combination of excellent wine, punk rock ambiance, and an awesome bartender that sort of felt like a Spanish metropolitan Tapas bar. I loved it and will keep coming back. This is my kind of apres ski hangout. It’s a very relaxing one of a kind experience to get this in the sierras at Mammoth, it feels like another world within another world.
The Shed is such a nice, intimate bar that we really enjoyed going to. Joey is an amazing wealth of knowledge on wine and cheese, and his selections for our charcuterie board were spot on. We can’t wait to come back next year.
