“Best bagels in LA. Always hit the spot. I love the plain bagels with cream cheese but they also have so many cool specialty bagels I feel like you can't get anywhere else in LA. It's usually somewhat busy but I preorder most of the time which makes the whole process much easier so I recommend doing that. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I recommend Layla for anyone who wants a delicious bagel that keeps you full!“

Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Fantastic! Very lovely people own and work in this outstanding bakery. Everything is utterly delicious. They do sell out by about 2:30 though. It’s reasonably priced too. My only gripe is that the payment machine-thingie doesn’t an option for tips so you have to leave a cash tip.“

“I ordered the nova lox and bagel on the jalapeño bagel. It comes with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and tomato on your choice of bagel. I recommend knowing what you want BEFORE you get to the counter. This is a busy spot with fast-paced ordering. Food comes out pretty fast!“

“I went there to get breakfast around 8:30. We didn't have to wait or anything but it looked pretty busy. I got chocolate crossant and drip coffee (house brend). The crossant could've been a little more crispy but the coffee was real nice. They have counter seat inside and many outside seat too so it's good that they have good options for seat too in case it's too hot outside.“
