Fishing With Dynamite is a seafood restaurant that I absolutely loved and would highly recommend. Our overall experience was excellent — almost every dish we ordered was impressive, and the seafood quality was outstanding.

The restaurant kindly surprised us with a complimentary Seared Yellowfin Tuna 🐟, lightly seared on the outside while remaining tender and delicate inside. The freshness of the fish was immediately noticeable and made a great start to the meal.

We also ordered the Seafood Platter 🦪🦐, which featured a selection of very fresh shellfish. The oysters and other seafood were high quality and perfect for sharing.

Another highlight was the Maryland Blue Crab Cake 🦀, packed with sweet crab meat and paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented it beautifully.

For the main dish, we had the Koshihikari Rice with Blue Crab 🍚🦀. This dish really stood out to me — the Japanese Koshihikari rice had an excellent texture, and the sweetness of the blue crab blended perfectly with the rice. The flavors were rich but surprisingly not heavy at all.

The only minor downside was that the food took a little while to arrive, but considering how popular the restaurant is, it’s understandable. Reservations are definitely recommended.

Overall, this is a seafood spot I would happily return to and strongly recommend to friends.

Fresh seafood I mean fresh which is why this restaurant is often booked the food speaks for itself. If you’re leery about shell food they gotchu babe. You can dine cozy inside or outside depending on your mood ;)

Came here on a recommendations from chatGPT and was not disappointed. The oysters tasted so fresh I questioned whether ive even ever had a fresh oyster. We did order the caviar as well (wanted to mark it off the bucket list)- it was okay but I really dont see all the hype about it, very expensive for how ehhhhh it tastes and its served on weird chips. Forgo the caviar and get more of the oysters!!!

In town from Oklahoma City and enjoy this place two nights in a row and thinking about a third. Food and service were top notch. The bartender was attentive, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He recommended the fish sandwich on the second night and it was the best fried fish sandwich I've had. That's quite a feat considering we fry everything on the OKC. The Spanish octopus was delightful and the Peruvian scallops were peak. If I'm ever in L.A. I will come back for sure.

Fishing with Dynamite was off. Missed items in order, oversold us, we took half home, coffee cold. On upside servers were nice and polite.

Service was amazing! The rich dish is to die for. I have never wanted to eat so much rice but sheesh! Everyone should have it at least one time.

Fantastic seafood in a great location. The oyster and French fry combo was excellent, as was the hamachi sashimi. Good cocktail selection. Interior of the restaurant is very small and it can get a bit loud.
